Will Never recommend, or visit again. Upon checking in, I was assigned a room on the first floor with a walkout sliding door that lacked proper security. The only locking mechanism was a U-shaped lock that could easily be unhooked from the outside. I requested a different room, I encountered the same issue, three rooms later and still no resolution. All rooms had broken sliding door locks holding them closed with a u-shape sliding door pin. I was offered another room on the third floor in the same building #1. However, despite my specific request (I originally paid for a 1 bedroom ocean view) no double beds. This new room featured double queen beds. After viewing yet another room, only to find gecko like lizards running around, I reached my breaking point. The bellman’s comment regarding my “pickiness” only added to my frustration; stating ( “if it was somebody else, they would have taken one of tha rooms, you too picky. They can only give you rooms based on what you pay and since a basic room you got, that’s what they gon’ give you”) it’s unacceptable to be made to feel this way when I had already indicated willingness to pay for an upgraded room. After about 2.5 hours of waiting and back-and-forth communication, I finally received a room on the opposite side of the building. I believe that regardless of what I paid for my stay, comfort and safety should be very important in any hotel. It's disappointing that your establishment failed to provide either during my visit.
