Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
recently stayed at Grand Palladium Jamaica, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. While the resort itself is beautiful, there were several issues during my stay that greatly impacted the overall experience. Service: The service was underwhelming at best. Despite being at an all-inclusive resort, we found that the staff was often unresponsive and seemed overwhelmed. On multiple occasions, we had to wait for extended periods for assistance at the reception and in the dining areas. It was disappointing, especially given the high price point of the stay. Food & Dining: The dining options were also disappointing. While there were a variety of restaurants to choose from, the food quality didn’t live up to expectations. The buffet felt repetitive, and the à la carte restaurants were hit-or-miss. One evening, we waited over an hour for our meal, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and underseasoned. For a resort of this caliber, the food quality and service in the restaurants should be much better. Activities & Entertainment: The resort did offer a variety of activities and entertainment, but some were poorly organized. The scheduling was often unclear, and we missed out on a couple of events due to lack of communication. The entertainment itself was decent, but it didn’t make up for the lack of attention to detail elsewhere. Overall Experience: While the location is beautiful, the service and facilities did not meet the standards expected of a resort.

Do not book the Grand Palladium
The Grand Palladium was not a pleasurable vacation experience. After a ten-hour flight and two hours of ground transport, we arrived at the hotel at 4:30pm to learn our room wasn’t ready. No one offered us a welcome drink. We pressed reception for a room and were taken to a room next to a building under construction. No a la carte restaurants had available bookings. We went to the Sports Bar where the food was barely edible and we couldn’t take the food away. We were finally given a room that was ok. The second day we made a 5:30pm booking for an a la carte restaurant that was adjacent to very loud construction. The restaurant was not a la carte that evening but as of 6pm, no food was even out. We pressed the manager to make a booking for us at Poseidon, which did not have particularly good food. Overall, the stay was not good.

The property is 16 years old and needs some renovations. The smell of the sewage running through the side walk where you walk to your room is unpleasant and unbearable at times, specially when it rains. The housekeeper did a great job keeping our room clean and with fresh towels. I experienced very long wait for room service (50mins) one time and (34) mins at another time. I hanged up after 50 mins. Also there is very limited dinning from 11-5:30. The only two places they have to feed the entire Grand Palladium Jamaica side is the jerk chicken by the beach and the sports bar. If you wait past 1pm you won’t get anything to eat because everyday they run out of chicken. They say 20mins but it doesn’t really mean 20mins. Also, they run out of towels at the pool every day. Don’t schedule dinner at 9pm because once 10 o’clock comes they want you out! They start cleaning the tables and pushing you out. I went to the steakhouse restaurant, I schedule it for 9pm, they didn't seat us down until 9:25 because I asked. Once 10:15 hit our waiter disappeared and when he come back we asked for dessert and he say he didn’t have any left. Also the seafood restaurant say crab cakes on the menu but there was none. I was told crab cake guy was sick. I went at 10:30 to get coconut water and was told the coconut guy was on vacation. I choose this properly to spend thanksgiving but they didn’t have anything special and that was the day we choose the steakhouse and we ended up with no desserts.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype We had a really bad experience with the restaurants within the resort. Despite the challenge of securing reservations, we were surprised to find the restaurants mostly empty. Unfortunately, the food quality and service were both subpar, leaving us quite dissatisfied. The overall hospitality also did not meet expectations, and the staff seemed unaccommodating. Given our experience, we cannot recommend this resort to others. It fell short of the standards one would expect for the price and reputation.

Beautiful architecture, large rooms, well equipped and maintained, pools, common areas are excellent. However, the stench of raw sewer is the fun killer. Whether you are outside or inside of your room, it follows you everywhere. Not sure if it's a design problem or maintenance, but I will not return to this place until this problem is fixed. The beach has almost no swimmable areas and is limited to a few small waist deep spots often filled with seaweed, the rest of the waterfront is just rocks. Food is below average for all inclusive - everything is overcooked, and very few fresh fruit.

Check in is horrible, before leaving the front desk I asked for them to make sure that my room was exactly what I had paid for because I saw others right before me have issues, they "promised" it was what I asked for, I then arrived to my room and it was not what I had paid for, had to make my way back to the front and deal with them for over an hour

We were not impressed. We had stayed in other resorts and Grand Palladium Jamaica has been the least we liked. Not enough good selection of food, a better variety should have been nice. We were there 5 days and every breakfast and lunch they had same selection of food in all 3 buffets. At night they have a La Carte Restaurants and 2 of them had buffets as well because they had some type of issue that day, and guess what, food was the same. To have drink refills we had to wait long time, I pretty much had to asked the server for a refill every single time. Plates were piled on the table before servers will pick them up. Not sure if it’s a management problem or just staff shortage. They are really disorganized. Liquor, they had their better selection on the second floor only, so if we wanted a good drink couldn’t get it at any bar. Our room was nice but they just made beds, change trash and towels (not impressed either). Maybe other Grand Palladiums are nicer but will not be going back to one.

We were there for my step daughter wedding and is our first time in all inclusive and was my last time must of the people in our got sick with a stomach bug or something like that. The place is nice the customer service was really nice but the food not the best is a buffet style and some people were scraping the to get some of the food from the trays were they have the food and was nobody to get more so I was really disappointed. Also the fruits like watermelon honeydew were completely dry and if anybody wants to stay at the palladium don’t waste your money go somewhere else.
