When checking in and out of a vacation resort it is not too much to expect to be properly welcomed and to be genuinely thanked for being a guest when leaving. It would also be nice (even if it isn't so) to feel like security is there for the protection of guests, and not there to protect the resort from paying guests. These small things can set the tone for a total happy experience in an otherwise nice resort and the obvious hardworking staff. Front desk staff can make or break the experience.

First time in Jamaica. Great staff. Property well maintained. The jerk chicken on the beach was good. Jermaine and Rossan were great! Couple times during 7 days we had to call for new towels, but nice stay overall.

We had a great time, the butlers looked after us. The pool and beach areas were great. The food was mixed, some great and some not so but had never done an all inclusive before so not sure if that’s normal. The villa was great and very spacious and comfortable.

I was a little disappointed with the service. I was annoyed with the construction being conducted, I didn’t receive house keeping services for almost 2 days until I went to the front desk… when I called to inquire why I didn’t receive house keeping the day before I was told I had to request it, which was nonsense Overall I expected much more from JEWEL GRANDE and I highly doubt I would recommend it.

So I have to be honest and let you all know. This resort is not in the best condition. I understand we are in Jamaica but this was supposed to be a 4.5 star resort. I would give this resort 2 stars at best. When I called for room service to have food delivered, the food was cold and terrible. You have to beg to have your room restocked with beverages and towels daily. The security that did the night shift were rude and unprofessional. If you go to dinner after 7:30 expect a 30-40 min wait and most of the restaurants you need reservation for, so don’t bother. The food for dinner was really good however once you are finally seated, you have to constantly ask for your drink to be refilled during all meals. They did not have many signs to show you where everything is so your guessing most of the time your there. Lastly I walked pretty much everywhere while I was there but when it was time to leave (thank goodness) I had to call downstairs three times to beg for someone to help me with my luggage. When I finally got all my luggage down the elevator by myself because no one showed up, I had to wait another 15 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. He apologized that he was late stating that he had to make a personal run. Never mind the fact they my transportation was waiting for me already and threatening to leave and I had a flight to catch. I couldn’t wait to leave and get Home. My advice….choose another resort. This one was terrible.

I took my wife here to celebrate her birthday and she LOVED this resort! The staff was super friendly. Rooms were perfect (we did wish there was a full length mirror in there). Food options were spot on. The beach and activities on the resort kept our stay very entertained. We will be most definitely coming back to this resort in the future.

This is absolutely my best experience at a resort. The Staff overall were amazing and wonderful people. Gary the bartender in the main lobby is hilarious and definitely worth visiting. Our housekeeper Lacie-Ann was a very sweet and wonderful lady that went above and beyond, and one of the activities people not sure how to spell her name "Eminem" maybe was very fun and friendly. The food was overall really good also. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
