Sustainability & Local Impact
We are deeply committed to conservation and sustainable living. Over the past five years, we’ve planted more than 600 native trees and plants on the property and donate a portion of each stay to local climate action efforts through CorClima.
Guests are welcome to explore the shared yard, which features native plantings, fruit trees, a coffee field, and a newly added walking path.
Tap water is potable—there’s no need to purchase bottled water. We also encourage thoughtful water and energy use as part of our eco-conscious approach.
A Few Helpful Notes
-Please keep windows and doors closed when away, as monkeys have been known to sneak inside.
- Insects are a normal part of forest life here. They’re harmless and play an important role in the local ecosystem. During dry season, we recommend you use repellent as there are tiny mites (in leaf litter) that, although harmless, cause a mighty itch. We also recommend you shower after hikes.
-A house manual is provided with directions, WiFi codes, and local recommendations.
