Newly built in 2020, Amidon Cabin is located on 156 wooded, mountain acres in Montgomery Center, Vermont. Just 7 miles from Jay Peak Resort! With luxury amenities like warm, radiant heated floors, heated toilet seats, an electric fireplace and game room, you may not want to leave! When you do venture outside you have a 3-sided porch to lounge on or sit by the fire pit. Montgomery Center is home to our famous covered bridges, swimming holes and miles of hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Jay Peak is just a short drive to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the East. Unlimited, FREE firewood and a quart of our own Vermont organic maple syrup with each stay. We were there for a week for our daughterā€™s wedding at Crofters green. Danielle attention to detail was the best we have very experienced at a rental. It was great not having to worry about our accommodations.

This home is very comfortable, clean and bright. All the large windows are wonderful. Love the open 1st floor plan. Spent time on the sunny back deck enjoying the sun aling with the peace and quiet. Hop, skip and a jump to Jay Peak. Very relaxing and hope to return with family.

Eclipse Views
This was a wonderful house! I brought my family and friends out to watch the total eclipse and it was amazing. The house was very comfortable fully stocked with things that I would need for cooking. The girls enjoyed playing air hockey and playing on the deck thank you so much Danielle. This was an incredible vacation!

Beautiful new home in perfect distance from mountain and downtown Montgomery. Danielle was always a text away with a great recommendation. Hosts have thought of everything! Even a complimentary bottle of maple syrup! Will stay there again if go back!

Awesome Home is the woods on a Maple Farm
We stayed for a long ski weekend at Jay Mountain. The home was fanstatic. Neat, clean, well appointed, comfortable and on a maple farm. We hiked the woods and explored the farm and loved it. Danielle communicated well and often. Everything was s uper easy. We had a great time (inspite of the poor weather and lack of snow) and intend to rebook for next year. I have to give the propoerty SIX stars.

Great Family Retreat!
We spent a great few days here and it was a perfect place to prep for and relax after a day on Jay Peak. the basement has pingpong which is fun for all ages, and they have loads of fun games as well. The kitchen is well-appointed, all of the bed and bathrooms are very comfortable and EVERYONE enjoyed the heated toilet seats. :P Very quick shot to Jay, which was awesome (as well as an ER after a nasty crah on day 2 of boarding), and everyone slept great and we had an excellent time. The only thing I would warn about is the driveway - was super warm when we were there and as the ground thawed was VERY muddy - crushed gravel would be useful to make sure your non-4WD cars can get about but we were able to get out as needed. We are already looking forward to booking something here in summer or fall as we would love to take advantage of the beautiful porch and lawn. This place is very special. We can't wait to enjoy the hospitality again one day soon we hope!

Amazing Family Trip
We had such a wonderful time at Amidon Cabin. Everything in the home is so thoughtful - the kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed being so close to Jay Peak, the Belfry and Omakase. Danielle and James were super responsive and also took care of all snow removal. We plan to return next year!

Jay Peak Ski Trip
This home was so incredibly beautiful and comfortable. Our group included 2 families with teenagers and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out to watch football, enjoy post ski relaxation and celebrate the new year. The fire pit was a hit on new years eve (thank you for providing wood). The kitchen was perfectly supplied with everything we needed (Loved the maple syrup-thank you!).The hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. And of course, the heated toilet seats and radiant flooring were perfect after a day of skiing in the cold. This home is about 10 minutes from Jay Peak and there is a fun little restaurant about 1.5 miles down the road on the way. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Amazing, gorgeous, perfect
This home and property is incredible! We were cozy and comfortable, easily able to cook and enjoy meals from the deck and see the leaves in astonishing color, and itā€™s a perfect location to go on back country drives to enjoy the VT scenery. We fell in love with VT and canā€™t wait to return. Danielle was an incredible host, working with us to book a day earlier even, and the maple syrup is delicious. Weā€™d book again in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful stay at this property! We booked this somewhat last minute (~3 weeks before our trip) because it was close to Jay Peak and had enough privacy for 3 couples. We were really happy with how clean and modern the space was, and how well stocked the kitchen was in terms of appliances/equipment. Owners were very communicative and the whole process from checking in to checking out was smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

My new favorite place to stay when coming to Jay!
The first thing I will say is the property owner is an absolute delight! She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, she even saw that we had kids in our party and left us sleds and snow shoes for their use. She and her husband own the sugar shack next door and left us a lovely gift of maple syrup. The house is absolutely beautiful. The big open concept kitchen/dining/ and living room makes for a great hangout space for a large group. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook. Downstairs there is air hockey, ping pong, and a magnetic dart board, giving the teens and younger kids in our group things to do other than being on their devices. There are 2 bedrooms and the basement has a pullout, making it possible for 3 couples to stay in private/semi private spaces. There are plenty of spaces to accommodate air mattresses (provided by the homeowner) as well as comfy couches to crash on. The homeowner has even separated blankets, sheets, and pillows in containers for each bed. There was a lot of thought and attention put into making the stay comfortable. I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and this was by far one of the best! I will be booking again for next year!

Cabin with modern finishes!
We were 4 adults, 5 kids. Extremely spacious cabin with fully equipped everything!! The owners thought of everything for guests to feel comfortable. The cabin was decorated with modern flair and heated floors and toilets seats such an amazing touch!! Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Easy drive to Jay Peak for skiing. Thanks souch for sharing your cabin with us and lending us your extension cord last minute to charge our car!!

Wonderful home in the woods
We had a great time relaxing and catching up with friends at the cabin in between ski days at Jay. The home is exactly as advertised, very clean, had all we needed and more! So peaceful to watch the snow in the quiet woods. And we had some minor issues arise during our stay that were addressed immediately by Danielle- incredibly friendly and responsive. Could be more positive about the stay. Thanks!

An exceptional place to stay for skiing at Jay Peak
We had a great time staying at Amidon Cabin during our Jay Peak skiing trip this February. This recently built house is very nicely decorated and is meticulously maintained. We liked the open design of the house and were particularly impressed by the modern kitchen. We enjoyed spending evenings in the hang-out spot in the loft. The ping-pong table in the basement was appreciated as well. The place is very spacious and quiet, and not far from town. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this rental.

Perfect for the entire family!
The Amidon Cabin in Montgomery, VT was a beautiful place to stay. The house was very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Getting to and accessing the property couldnā€™t be easier. The open concept style of the house made it easy for our family get together over dinner after skiing Jay Peak. We had fun using the fire pit for some sā€™more-making :) The game room had everything you needed to entertain family and friends. Views of Jay Peak from the loft bedroom were beautiful. This house was the perfect ski retreat for our family. The host, Danielle, was very friendly and helpful. She was easy to get a hold of and a delight to deal with. The maple syrup was a nice gift and so good that we had to buy some more. We are looking forward to coming back to the Amidon Cabin next year.

We had a fantastic time at this home. Home was in fantastic condition with attenation to finest details. Owner supplied many small items that sometimes you forget to bring. Very clean and well appointed home. The neighborhood is super private with accents such as the fire pit for evening time. Very close to Jay Peak resort and a country mile away from local supermarket. We highly recommend this home where it is evident owners take great care & pride. We hope to use this home again in the near future. Thanks again for the accommodations - John & Silvia

We didn't want to go back home
It was a perfect stay for us. We just didn't want to go back home. The very spacious family room was amazing - with a view of the beautiful snowy backyard. Linens were very comfortable - 5 star hotel quality. Our kids had so much fun playing table tennis and air hockey in the basement. There were even many boxes of toys for our little 4 year old (building blocks, legos). Thank you for the complimentary maple syrup bottle - it was super delicious. We definitely plan to come visit here again.
