I think a time-of-the-year issue; many adjacent waterfront properties were undergoing significant construction activities or closed and a little derelict-looking. The hotel was in great condition. For over CAN$600 a night, breakfast should have been included - my mistake, I scanned several Internet reviews that all stated that breakfast was included, but I neglected to confirm this with my reservation, done through Expedia.

The staff are excellent, the property is top notch and the rooms both in the main building as well as the lofts are outstanding. My only critique is that there wasn't a fan in my room - part of that is on me though as I am sure if I had asked for one they would have accommodated me.

Property is perfectly located in Old Montreal. Walking to everything. Only little thing was we received a bottle of wine in our room. But wasn’t sure if we had to pay for it or a free. Stayed w wife and 3 boys 15, 17, 22. This hotel was phenomenal. We stay in a lot of boutique hotels and this was top of the list. Starts with the service and friendly/helpful staff. From the minute we drive up to the minute we left. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Very spacious/furnished lobby area w fireplace is really nice hang out. I don’t think the pictures on Expedia capture how nice it is. Convenient having 2 restaurants on site (and terrace bar but was closed for winter). I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Location is also so perfect right on the river and dead in the middle of Old Port. 24 hr valet. It was nice to have the car at times even though everything pretty walkable or metro. We will be back.
