this property is worn down. under staffed. we arrived at 5:30pm and our room was not ready. the door entry card did not work.

Do not stay here, pee and hair in bathroom
To start with pee all over the toilet, room was no vacuumed, hair in bathroom floor, lamps very dusty, towels look dingy with stains, AC was very load coming on and off, no bar soap in room, no elevator, bed was collapsed on one side other than just very over priced. Very sad for a Best Western. Young guy working the counter as my wife told him about the issues said is that all man. I wouldn't recommend staying here until maintenance issues can be resolved the room itself if cleaned was not bad if you want to clean you toilets yourself.

The only reason I am giving this stay any stars is for the wonderful front desk worker who was more than kind through my husband and I's experience. We have had our fair share of stays, and we are flexible with our arrangements. With that being said, DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. The location itself is in the 'insecure' part of Montrose. As guests who are traveling, it felt unsafe from the start. When we received our room, we went in to find a filthy room. There was hair on the bedding, in the sink, and on the floor in the bathroom. There was urine all over the toilet seat that clearly was not cleaned prior. The bedding had dirty marks and the tiles were broken. We went back to the front desk explaining what we found and asked for a cleaned room. When we received the new room, we found the exact same filthy state as the first. We explained this to the front desk and kindly asked for a refund, which he was more than willing to do. We ended up canceling our stay and booking at the Holiday Inn down the road which was a much better experience all around.

Toilet had urine all over the toilet seat as well as underneath it. Hair in shower and on the supposedly clean towels. No hand soap. Crumbs in microwave. Dust on too if furniture and chair! Carpeting was filthy. Worst room I have ever stayed in! It was also very noisy! Rating of 0 if rating were 0-10 if 10 was good!

The assistant at the front desk was great and was doing the best she could but there was very little help -- our room was not ready for 3 hours after check in time. The bathroom was not cleaned well and the room was outdated. No elevator for access to 2nd floor.

Seems a little old, run down, and dirty. Absolutely no counter space in the bathroom or by the sink, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but no shelves or anything in the bathroom to set stuff on. Very concerned by the lack of security in the building. The pool is in a different building, but you don't need a key card to get into building OR pool area, so literally anyone could walk in and use the pool.

The property is run down. No one was at the desk to check us in for a good 5 minutes. The carpet in the room had cigarette burns in it. Curtains had holes in them. The bathtub was full of pubic hair and shower curtain was mildewed and gross. One positive, the bed was clean and comfortable. Will not stay here again.

Check in is at 4pm which is ok but rooms were not totally ready then. Arrived for check in at noon 4 and the key making machine did not work. The manager let us put our things in the room then come back later for a key. The room had no trash can which I asked for but was not provided then. The mirror was dirty and askew. The safe deposit box was visibly broken and unusable. On our return a few hours later, there were many people in the lobby waiting for rooms with no personnel in sight. We waited 15-30 minutes for a key but staff did not show up. We left again for a while and returned Again, It took too long before staff arrive to take care of us and the other awaiting guests. Finally, the young manager appears and lets us in our room -still no key and still no trash can and no toilet paper. The young manager was ill equipped to manage guest expectations and no contingency plan for no key-maker, no assistance from the general manager. When I went to lobby to ask for a trash can and toilet paper, there was no reactive apology, just a ‘sure.’ Our window looked out onto an empty lot with weeds, trash and rocks. Breakfast -an opportunity for redemption- was overcooked and ultra processed foods and tons of single use plastic (1980?). I’d like my Money back or a free room for future use in hopes that they could do better. If Expedia is going to represent a property, should you not investigate the premise? Please reply ASAP

Unwashed bedding in THREE different rooms!
I've stayed at this hotel a few times in the past when it was previously GreenTree. This was all about a year ago. I was in town for an event and booked it out of familiarity and prior comfort. I ended up needing to switch to three different rooms all upon initial check in due to lack of cleanliness of each room. The first room I inspected the bed and there was hair under the blankets and a blood spot on the back of a pillow case. I alerted the front desk and they moved me into another room right next door on the same floor. Before taking my belongings into this room I also inspected the bedding and found similar issues with hair under the blankets and all over the bed. Went back to the front desk and the manager apologized and went to inspect a third room before handing over new keys. The bedding was fine in the third room and appeared to be clean. I did check for bed bugs after that incident just to be safe. The floor appeared to have been vacuumed and the bathroom was decent but also had some pieces of hair in the tub and around the toilet. I also found 1/4 of a 18 pack of beer still in the fridge so I realized housekeeping had not checked that. Overall I won't be staying here again. If you do, check EVERYTHING to ensure it's been cleaned. It honestly turned my stomach and I won't be back unfortunately.

I was not impressed with the property at all, expecially for a Best Western. It was old and the walls were very thin. The toilet didn't flush correctly and even after I told management, they did nothing about it.
