We loved our visit to Grey Harlings! The location is gorgeous and the staff was superb in their efficiency and friendliness. We loved the history of the 'home' and that we were able to walk everywhere. We walked into town twice (and back) enjoying the blooms and quaintness of the village. Our room was lovely and it included an en suite with a great bathroom; roomy shower, sink and toilet with a towel warmer! Our breakfast was included and was the best we'd had in Scotland! Salmon and eggs was out of this world good! The owner couldn't have been more friendly, showing me some of her favorite intricacies of the building, including hidden doors and wooden pegs from a century ago! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely Location, Great hotel.
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything about our stay was enjoyable and the staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It's in a great location as well close to a fabulous beach and for golfers a long putt to the first tee of a great golf course.

We enjoyed our stay at Grey Harlings. Our Family Double Room was large and very comfortable, overlooking the 18th hole of Montrose golf course. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Roo’s Leap restaurant is just a short walk away – portions are enormous and delicious. The hotel has a large comfortable lounge, and there is a bar. We recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Hotel is very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, situated next to links golf clubhouse. Sat nav coordinates not accurate we ended up near beach pavillion, carry on road up towards golf clubhouse and you will see the hotel

Despite the restaurant being closed breakfast is served daily and is excellent. The l staff at the Grey Harlings are excellent and are always at hand should you need anything. I loved the room it was very comfortable and spacious with very good facilities. There is no doubt that I would stay here again and I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Montrose. The hotel is located close the the Golf course and club house and there are other dining options in the area.
