First I have to say the staff was great. I had a king oceanfront just as booked. The down for me was the bathroom. It was quite small. Barely enough room for one person to spread out their stuff, glad I was traveling alone. The toilet rocked when you'd sit on it. The room was clean, but seemed old. The best part was the big screen TV with some internet TV options. It's definitely not a 4 star to me more like a 3.5 star.

Gross! Exterior of the building is dated and not super clean but we expect that with the ocean side a bit. Lobby was plain but fine. We checked in, went to our room with our month long big traveling bags and were so excited after all our work to just relax. The hallways are poorly lit , walls really need a paint job , all scuffed up and more than one large laundry rolling bin had dirty bedding hanging out of it and no one around (why?) The only thing clean in the room was the bed. The ceiling office type acoustic tiles in the entry were discolored and looked like some were about to fall out. I walked to the nice view at the window and wanted to vomit at how utterly gross it was. The door track was black and filthy with stuff in it. The corners of the room dirty and furniture stucky. We were there for about 10 minutes and left. I will never go there again. We had to load everything back into our car and find where to stay. Thank you to the gorgeous Beaufort hotel for saving us, what a lovely time!

Loved the location! Front desk staff was helpful. Checked in super late. When I booked on the hotels.com it gave me the option to add breakfast for $5. Cheaper to do it that way than paying at the hotel. Breakfast was decent but convenient to be right there in the lobby

The staff are all super friendly, it is dog friendly so there are usually lots of dogs around. You may wind up sharing the elevator with a friendly k-9. We stay there every year and have never had a problem any of the dogs. They have an indoor pool for cold or rainy days. The overall cleanliness is great. It's a short drive to the aquarium, park, food and stores.I definitely recommend staying here.

Dogs barking, the place smelled. My door to the room wouldn't open, had to kick the door to get it to open. Maintenance fixed but by the time we left it was not opening correctly, just from the outside getting in. Going out no problem jamming. Always a strong odor of marijuana in the hallways and a some in the elevators. The elevators were not clean at all. Will never stay again!!
