Mayberry & Main - 'The Mayberry Suite'

'The Mayberry Suite' is located in the heart of Mount Airy at 496 North Main Street. It is one of two new Suite's created as part of the restoration of this historic property. The renovation project was completed in December 2017.

The total restoration of the property resulted in the creation of two premium residential facilities at the rear of the building and one newly restored commercial space. The commercial space occupies the entire street level at the front of the building. 'The Mayberry Suite' and it's sister facility 'The Main Suite' were built with comfort and convenience as the main guidelines.

If you're looking for the perfect way to see all things 'Mayberry' then this is the place for you.

Enjoy shopping, restaurants, wineries, breweries, recreational walking trails, and workout facilities within walking distance of your front door.

THE PROPERTY

Perfectly designed to take full advantage of the space, you will find yourself gathering around the kitchen bar to socialize. Then, when you are ready, the large bath with soaker tub will help you unwind and relax. You will find everything you need and ample room for up to 4 guests. No one will feel slighted and all will enjoy a perfect night's sleep.

You'll find all the amenities you need in your ultimate home-away-from-home, including wireless internet access, in-unit laundry machines, and central air and heat for your comfort. After an eventful day exploring the area, come home to unwind in the cozy living room, where you can watch your favorite show on the 55 inch, 4k, smart TV, equipped with all your favorite cable channels. Later, refuel with a delicious home-cooked meal prepared in the fully stocked kitchen or grilled out on your private patio. Top off the night with relaxing conversation between friends and family on the patio or stroll back down main street to enjoy a cocktail at Old North State or your favorite beverage at one of our local breweries on Market Street.

We love this place! We are repeat travelers to Mayberry. This is our go to place if/when we are traveling this way. It's just off Main Street where we shop and dine. This little apartment did not disappoint. We were pleased to find the place very clean, beds were comfortable, the unique decor is great, and everything was just as listed. Cute and Convenient!
My Fella and I stayed for a few nights just to get away and relax. This rental is so very cute with interesting, colorful decor and turquoise cabinets! And it is just a few blocks from most of the town. We walked almost everywhere during our visit and it was great! Clean, quiet, and so enjoyable!

Very clean, great location!
The first thing I do when I stay at a vacation rental is wipe down every surface with disinfectant wipes (I know, I’m crazy). Most of the time, the wipes are dirty. But not here! Every surface was clean! The bathroom was also very clean, which is so important to me. The apartment is not a hodge podge, it’s carefully curated down to the art and well thought out furniture pieces. The Murphy bed was brilliant! Speaking of beds, they were SO comfy. Another rarity for a vacation rental. Thank you Doug and Carol for the wonderful stay! We hope to visit again soon.

Place was perfect! Cozy, great decor, bed was comfy, easy check in and check out. Walked to Main Street to visit shops, sites, restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here for a visit to Mayberry! We love traveling and prefer VRBO stays. So don’t double guess this place! GO! (Oh…and the towels were thick and smelled wonderful! 😊)

Great Place to Stay
My parents and niece had another great stay at the Mayberry Suite. Staying here is starting to become an annual event for my parents and they look forward to returning to this property every year. The unit is within walking distance to all the great downtown shops and restaurants in Mt. Airy. They love the outdoor patio area for coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings. Easy check in and check out process and Doug (the owner) and his family are really great. The Mayberry Suite has everything you need. Hope to be back soon.

If your going to stay in Mt. Airy this is the perfect location. We walked to everything. Craft beers, Old North State, restaurants, shopping, and amphitheater. Suite has everything you need, very cozy and up to date. We had a great time!

My daughters and I stayed here for a weekend! It was such a beautiful place . Everything at your finger tips inside and out. Walking distance to downtown Mt. Airy! This is my second time staying at this lovely place! It is so close to town and all the wonderful things that Mayberry has to offer! Doug and Carol are amazing host!
