Big barn on a working farm- sleeps up to 13

" Cremona Hillside Farm" is a WORKING farm, not a hobby farm. The 120 acres is farmed organically and regeneratively on granite soil. Children should not be bored here with lots of board games , a library of children's books and some toys. The barn is a modern separate building with a big open living area, its own kitchen and bathroom and a HUGE sleeping loft. It is not at all luxurious and you need to bring warm clothes, but there is an big wood heater and a large wood stove in the kitchen if you know how to use them. There is also an electric stove .

We had a great time on the farm. Barn is basic but had everything we needed. Kate is an excellent host with great communication.

Basic accommodation on beautiful farm
Barn is basic but functional. Cold at night = 10 degrees inside overnight for us (vs 5 degrees outdoors). Wood heater didn't make much difference. Farm is beautiful, idyllic scenery. Kate comes through the space daily to access the cool room for farm supplies. Some mould in the walls, but nothing major. We got yelled at for leaving shoes in the doorway, blankets on the couch, chairs not tucked in at the table....so that put a bit of a dampener on what was otherwise a beautiful stay. I would give the host the benefit of the doubt on this as the group prior to us did damage the property, so she was probably just trying to be vigilant. Try to keep the space spotless.

Excellent stay in a REAL farm
This property was an excellent set up for a group. The lady who runs the farm was very clear that it was a working farm, complete with the odd spider, rather than an accommodation business. We met her as we needed a battery and she was so wonderfully warm and full of great stories.

Great cosy getaway with family and friends
Great value place for a cosy, fun, grounding getaway with family and friends. Not so many bells and whistles just plenty of love and animals to meet. Gorgeous Clunes is not far away and Ballarat only 20mins away if you’re wanting to visit any of the sites there. Host Kate is accommodating and only a text away if you need anything. We were blessed with perfect weather (can’t promise the same year round). We left feeling refreshed and wanting a pig, a goat, ducklings, and puppies 😁

Farm stay
Charming and rustic. Adventure for the kids. Good location, 25 minute drive to CBD Ballarat. If winter pack warm clothing. Kate (owner) helpful and informative of things to do. No TV, wi-fi or air-conditioning but has slow combustion fire place. I would recommend it for family's who would like to do a farmstay away from technology eg social media..
