This property is poorly maintained. The tiles were loose and wobbly in the room entryway. The refrigerator did not work properly. We book-ended our trip with a stay here to give ourselves a driving break. On the return, my room was even worse. The heater squealed and rattled non-stop every time it ran which considering it was very cold, was a lot. The thermostat was broken and the heater pumped the room to unbearably hot when set at 70°. Between the heat and the noise, I was able to get maybe 3 hours of sleep. Not a restful night at all. I've had better stays at Motel 6. When I complained at the front desk, they simply shrugged and said they were sorry. The other member of my party reported they had to lift the lid to manually flush their toilet each time. We had a total of 4 different rooms in this hotel and 3 out of 4 were poorly maintained. The only positive was the pool seemed clean, the kids enjoyed it. The breakfast spread was decent and the lady working it was very kind.

This property is poorly maintained. We book-ended our trip there because we needed a planned stop on our roundtrip. The first stay wasn't too bad. Loose tiles and an entry door that had to be forced closed for one of the two rooms was all. On our return, one room's heater was very loud; making it impossible to sleep and the thermostat was broken; making it unbearably hot when set at 70°. The other room, you had to lift the lid and manually flush the toilet. The cleanliness was below average, with carpeting feeling moist/sticky on bare feet and obvious grime on curtains, walls, baseboards, corners, etc. Complaining to the front desk about the noisy heater and broken thermostat resulted in a weak apology and shrug.

The property has improved quite a bit lately. The staff is exceptional. They are attentive and quite helpful. Big improvement from last time I stayed here. I stay at this property many times per year.

Mount Pleasant place to stay
We had an excellent and warm welcome. The young man working the counter was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older, but vey clean with excellent facilities including an indoor pool , gym, and well stocked breakfast area.
