We had reserved a room with a queen bed for the weekend, we are older and have some physical limitations. When i asked for a room in the main floor as the stairs would be difficult ( no elevator), i was told that I reserved a queen room and they were all on the second floor( we were not made aware of this at time of booking ) and I could not be accommodated even though the motel was not even close to being full. I could understand if the place was compete sold out but it was far from that. It should also be advertised to people before they book as not everyone can do stairs and they can then book elsewhere which is what I would have done. Why is this room type ONLY on the second floor, that makes no sense. Very disappointed that there was no effort made into assisting and putting us on the first floor. I would not stay again.

Cocusa is my go to, 1 night only motel. I use it as I travel to San Juan Islands. You get what you pay for. Itā€™s clean, decent bed and linens, hot shower. There if a front and back door, so you can air out the aging room smell. The cabinets in the suite are coming apart at the seams but they function. Suite gives you much more space and large kitchenette. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast is packaged breakfast snacks. For the money this motel is a good value for 1 night while traveling through town.

The courtyard had beautiful flowers. The room was big with a balcony. Nearby was a very good supermarket and deli, good restaurants, a drug store, and reasonably priced gasoline.
