Romantic Secluded Cabin For Two

Check out the drone video on YouTube - search "175 Looper Branch Lane, Monterey". This property - "Two's Company" - is the cabin right on the water.

The only dwelling nestled on the banks of a one and a half acre private lake, this romantic one room suite, one bath cabin is all wood inside and out. It includes a king-size bed with a two-person heart-shaped Jacuzzi beside it.

A gas fireplace is in the cozy living room and it has a fully equipped kitchen. From the porch you can walk straight down to the dock or to the grill on the other side.

As soon as you turn in the winding country road tightly hemmed by evergreens, you will begin to feel the difference in atmosphere. You have come apart from the rest of the world and this time is just for you.

Surrounding this Tennessee cabin rental is the small community of Muddy Pond on The Cumberland Plateau. Located just ten miles north of I-40 between Nashville and Knoxville, you can rendezvous for several days of refreshment, or spend your whole vacation here while exploring the beauty of the Cumberland.

Cabin in the Woods
Great Cabin, feels very isolated but has cell phone coverage and Internet so not cut off. Stayed for two nights and saw one vehicle go past, other than that, no traffic noises and no sounds other than nature. Rain on the roof, birds, and one frog calling from the pond.Would highly recommend for someone wanting to slow down for a few days.

We absolutely loved the peace and seclusion of this lovely get away. The cabin was beautiful and the big pond just outside the back door was heaven. If one does want a little bit of civilization, Cookville or Crossville is a short drive away. We could not have asked for a better place to visit and unwind.

My husband and I loved our stay! We needed the weekend away and the location and cabin was just amazing. We have not gotten the time to get away for a while due to my husband was in the military, so we just wanted somewhere quiet, and where no one would bother us. It was perfect! The cell service is spotty which we personally loved as our whole reason to get away was to be present with each other. It was the first time we have got to get away let alone be with each other for our wedding anniversary since we got engaged.

We really enjoyed our stay; however, we have one complaint. It was 19° when we arrived. The heat was not turned up but was set on 50° and the thermostat would not go above 66°. Needless to say it took all night plus the fire place to get it warm. May we suggest that, when temps below freezing are expected, as a courtesy to the guests, the heat be turned up prior to arrival. Other than that, it was wonderful. We recommend that you visit this property.

Relaxing getaway
The cabin was the best we’ve been in. The location was great, very scenic. It could use access to a lawn rake to remove all the dry leaves around the fire pit, was harder using a stick. I’ve been a firefighter for over 40 yrs and know how quickly sparks can turn into large fires. But had an extinguisher and containers of water just in case. Know you have a volunteer fire department close by but not sure their truck could get to Two’s Company Cabin. Anyway, really enjoyed our 3 nights there and plan on doing it again, Lord willing. Property is exactly as posted. We celebrated our anniversary surrounded by nature. Every morning a family of deer came by. Throughout the day, we sat on the back porch and enjoyed the sounds of the birds, frogs and nearby cows. My husband made a fly fishing rod from a fresh branch and fishing line we had. We caught/release 3 blue gill. Saw some 12-14 inch grass pickeral but didnt get any. Enjoyed grilling out a few nights too.We did go explore the sites....Mennonite stores, leather shop, town of Monterey and took a hike to Burgess Falls. Loved it all!

Total Relaxation
This property was so much more than what was listed. I needed to get away for some personal time and this locatiin was the perfect solution. It was a very himey atmosphere with total isolation. All the amenities were there and so much better than expected. Barbara, the host, left nothing out of the equation to make this the perfect getaway. I was so impressed that I immediately booked a return trip. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Short review
We arrived and it was great! Shortly after we found that the cabin was kinda outdated but it was good. The second day we discovered we were only given a couple of towels to use for a shower, so in order to shower regularly we had to either reuse a used towel or wash and dry the same ones over and over. The water pressure is weak to say the least, the tub in the main room, we found that the stopper didn't work. I sent a message to management and didn't hear back for a couple of days, so we couldn't use the tub either. The burners on the stove, we found one cooked very quickly and hot and another we couldn't get to boil water. We love to fish but the pond isn't stocked or either of us lost our touch on fishing haha. Overall we still had a great time, probably will never stay in this particular cabin again, but again overall it was still a good secluded place to relax.

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay. So peaceful & quiet. Pond was like glass most of the 4 days we were there. Fish weren’t biting well, but they’re there as we saw them swim by. Loved watching the deer with fawns & turkey with chicks. We had no trouble with directions or anything with the cabin. The only recommendations we thought of was a couple more dish towels & dishrags and possibly some sort of pull-down screen for the porch, but definitely not a dealbreaker by any means. Would definitely like to come back again someday. Thanks for sharing!

The cabin is a couples paradise. Its nice, quiet, and secluded. The lake view is beautiful. If you love to fish, dont your pole. My husband and I enjoyed the stay so much we plan to return. Such a peaceful place cabin!
