This Tennessee cabin rental is in the friendly community of Muddy Pond on The Cumberland Plateau. Conveniently located just 10 miles north of I-40 between Nashville and Knoxville, you can stop in for several days of refreshment or spend a whole week exploring the beauty of the Cumberland. Within easy driving distance of the cabin rental, are nine state parks including, Fall Creek Falls, Big South Fork, Burgess Falls, Cumberland, and Picket. Also nearby are an abundance of public lakes like Dale Hollow Lake and Center Hill. This romantic vacation cabin offers modern amenities and features like a king sized bed and bedside Jacuzzi. The cabin is nestled in hemlocks beside a small private lake, where you can relax in the serenity and enjoy 60 acres of nature and solitude.

Relaxing Getaway
Perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Cabin was extremely clean.Caught a few fish. Pier was great setup to fish off. The porch had a beautiful view and was nice to sit under one rainy afternoon. Little shops near by. Saw a bear cub while out driving which was pretty awesome.Highly recommend staying and we plan to come back. Thanks so much.

Perfect little cabin in the woods. The pond is great and fishing is awesome. Being from the city with all the noise.. it was the best to unplug and be still. Will be back. Also, the Amish Market was great too.

It was a nice stay in Muddy Pond, Tennesee
I visited this cabin with my two friends for a long weekend as a reunion for the three of us. The stay was excellent as we enjoyed catching up with each other after 14 years of not seeing each other all together but for sad parental funerals. Three old guys aged 55 to 56 whom went to college together. We fished, we laughed and we cooked while partaking in many cold libations. The place was clean as any VRBO stays I've been to which is about eight or so times in the last fifteen years. Nice view of the private pond and we were able to laugh and be loud by ourselves without worrying about bothering anybody around us. The place was really appreciated. The fishing was fair and the weather was awesome. The local Mennonite community is pretty nice to go around and spend a few hours visiting local shops. Mostly foods, woodcraft and leather goods shops to see. We used the grill as well as the dock on the pond and especially the deck facing the pond to relax while there. Thanks for the great weekend visit. Five stars all the way!

It’s a lovely cabin in an amazing spot and we’d definitely consider returning and/or recommending this property. However, it was a bit annoying to find the heat not on upon our arrival - we had to wait a good while for the space to warm up, even with the gas fireplace and ceiling fan on to get the heat moving. It had been in the 30s and 40s (F) prior to our arrival. There were no throws to use in the meantime, so shoes and sweaters stayed on until bedtime. Not the end of the world, but not a cozy and welcoming first impression.

Fun Time at a Relaxing Property
My wife and I stayed in Muddy Pond at the cabin October 1-6, 2023, for Fall Break. The cabin was really nice and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and everything was in working order. We especially liked the back porch with the swing and rocking chairs. It was fun going out in the evening and hearing the night sounds in the woods around the house. Of course, our favorite part of the stay was the pond. Sunrise at the pond was beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and sitting on the dock and just enjoying the peacefulness. I got out in the boat and paddled around and fished even more. Sadly, we didn't catch many fish during the week (I caught a small "teenager" bass, and a few decent-sized perch... my wife caught a perch) -- but it wasn't for lack of trying! We enjoyed going to the nearby country stores, the Front Porch (excellent sandwiches, burgers, pastries, etc.), and the General Store. We journeyed over to Crossville to go to Buc-ee's... And on the way home we drove around in Cookeville, hitting Ralph's Doughnuts and driving around the TTU campus -- where my wife and I met a "few" years ago. Anyway, we had a great week, and if you want to just relax for a while, this is a great place to do it.

It rained the whole stay, but was 30 degrees cooler than home and was nice to sat outside on the porch swing! Hubby loved fishing in the pond. The toddler loved "The Ocean!" and the swings and rocking chair. Slight roof leak noted the morning we were leaving after a heavy downpour that morning and we notified staff upon check out. Definitely a relaxing area!

Over all was great. The only negitive thing i could say is that even though it was a 2 night stay they really need to change check in time to same time as check out or vise versa. To pay that much money it was really disappointing to have over half the 1st day was almost over with and check out time was to early so the only quality time was spent on the 2nd day. Everything else was great. Very clean and didnt have to worry about bringing everything but the kitchen sink. Plenty of small fish to catch and very well maintained around pond...

Been coming back for over 10 years a couple times per year. We love it. Boat leaks though and is missing the second oar. It has a stock for a handle now. Reported some type of flying little black bug infestation. Overall cleanliness needs improvement though.

Communication was easy… cabin, pond, land was absolutely beautiful and kept up. Pictures were great but even more beautiful in person. Clean, quit and secluded. This vacation was for myself, wife, 4 yr old granddaughter and my wife’s 87 year old grandfather. No one had any issues getting around. We fished, (and caught several including my granddaughters first) walked, sat around the fire and just relaxed. My granddaughter who loves her peppa pig, bluey and riding her battery tractor did not ask one time to watch the tv. We brought her riding tractor and it never moved. She woke up at 5:30 and went at it all day till 9pm fishing, walking and sitting around the fire. I recommend if you want to get away from the everyday and get back some family time this is the place to go. We loved it and this was our first time and we will for sure be back. Thank you

I loved how the cabin wasn't stacked among other cabins. It truly felt isolated. The cabin was immaculate upon arrival and instructions were easy to follow. It was everything I hoped for an anniversary getaway!! Will definitely stay again.
