I had an excellent time staying at the Westend Hotel in Munich. We were in Munich for Oktoberfest which was a short 10 minute walk away plus the Hackerbrücker train station was an 8 minute walk away where we could travel anywhere in the city including the airport. The buffet breakfast was very good and included several options that were continuously filled. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. 😃

Room was small but worked perfectly and had a great view over the city. Staff were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good and they have all day free to-go coffee. Late night pizza place across the street and some really delicious restaurants and beer gardens in the neighborhood, all within a 5 minute walk. It’s about 10 walk to any of the three public transit stops including S and U Hahn.

A nice place if you’re there for a night or two. The rooms are very similar to a student accommodation. Very basic and easy. I went alone so it was fine for me but wouldn’t recommend for couples

A nice little hotel and very convenient and close to things, but (and perhaps only an issue in the summer) no air conditioning made for a very hot room in the summer and very noisy streets below.

Pros: -Place was walkable to Octoberfest -Staff were really nice, we came early at 8.30am and they assisted us to check in. Really appreciated that. -Breakfast was hearty! Cons: Room was a little tiny for 3 people. :( Not much amenities.

Small but decent hotel. Walls are very thin and it’s pretty noisy at night. They have an elevator but it only goes as high as the 4th floor - I was on the fifth floor with a heavy suitcase.

We stayed because of the location to Oktoberfest. But it was filthy!!! There were what looked to be black beard shavings EVERYWHERE in our room. Even our bed, sinks, floors. The hotel in itself smelled so moldy. I wore white socks and they were black on the bottom from walking in our hotel room. And leaving the your room key at the front desk every-time you left felt like an invasion of privacy.
