"The Nest" is a charming lakeside cottage located on an arm of Skeleton Lake near Utterson, Ontario. This delightful retreat offers a blend of mid-century aesthetics and modern amenities for a memorable Ontario cottage rental getaway,
The main floor is a spacious and inviting space, highlighted by a large living room with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking views of the lake. These windows allow an abundance of natural light to fill the room and create a connection to the beautiful outdoor surroundings. The living room is well-appointed with a large smart TV, making it a perfect spot for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows. There is also ample seating for relaxation, a table for board games, and a foosball table for some friendly competition.
For those who enjoy beverages, there is a convenient beer fridge within arm's reach.

The main bathroom is also located on this floor and features a 3-piece design with a shower. Additionally, a washer/dryer combo is available for your laundry needs. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for culinary adventures. You'll find all the essential appliances and utensils needed to prepare delicious meals. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and provides a comfortable space for enjoying meals with family and friends. The secondary bedroom on this floor can sleep up to 3 people, featuring a single bed and twin bunks, making it perfect for a family or a group of friends.

A flight of stairs takes you to the upper level of the cottage, where you'll find the main bedroom. This bedroom offers a cozy and private space for the primary guests. The main bedroom is complete with a 2-piece ensuite powder room, providing added convenience and privacy. An upper landing features a daybed, making it an excellent spot for afternoon naps or a quiet moment of relaxation. For book lovers, there's a wonderful reading nook nestled in a window on the staircase's lower landing, offering a peaceful escape with a view.

Outside, the cottage provides access to a dock, allowing you to enjoy the water and take in the serene lake views. A waterfront fire pit awaits you, perfect for evenings spent around a crackling fire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories with loved ones.

Things you need to know:

Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition
This cottage has eastern exposure, but due to the rock formations neither sunrise nor sunsets may be seen directly
Please note the TV in the upstairs bedroom is not working, but there is also a TV in the living room
Garbage and recycling removal prior to departure is required




Waterfront The cottage has rock steps down to a shallow, sandy entry, with water up to 9' deep off the dock. The dock can accommodate a pontoon boat. It's mostly clear of weeds in the swimming area, and the swimming is good.
