We had a great stay at Willow Bay! The property had a great set up. We loved the large windows and patio that overlooked the ocean. It’ll be hard to stay anywhere else that isn’t right on the beach because the convenience of being able to walk right into the sand was wonderful. We’ll definitely look into booking here again.

The propoerty looked good from the outside. But it is very outdated and needs many upgrades. The room wa snot cleaned well and the floors were sandy. The door to the balcony had horrible seals around the door and could feel the cold, wind, etc. sititng in the living room area. Our coffee pot didn't work and notified the front desk that mroning. That afternoon no news on coffee pot. That evening the front desk stated they were buying a new one for us. No new coffee pot was ever delivered to us for two days after they said it would be. The elevator was not working when we returned from dinner. We were on the top floor, 9. The front desk stated they were adding freon to the AC units and it would be down in a few minutes. We waited as I am a disabled veteran with bad knees. We checked again on the status and the lady got on the phone and said a few more minutes. A maintenance man came down and stated the elevator was not working as no power and waiting for a part. After 40 minutes we walked hte 9 flights. Not happy and no apologies from the hotel. The outside sprinklers in the yard area by the beach access sprays at the worst times when going to the see the sunrise. We would get soaked all 3 mornings trying to get back from the beach. The yard furniture needs serious cleaning and throwing away. Warped ping pong table, soaked seat cushions when trying to use in the morning/afternoon due to sprinkers. Pool needs cleaned more ofter. Hot tub area has grass.

Very nice place!
The woman at the front desk was very friendly and had our parking pass in our room “incase she missed up checking in”. Thoughtful. Spacious room however the bedroom window was to the corridor that was brightly lit. We had blinds but really could use some blackout curtains. I kept waking up thinking it was mid afternoon by the amount of light coming through the blinds. Smaller hotel but lots of parking. Really incredible outdoor area!!! Lots of comfy seating, tables, games, and two showers to rinse sand off. Our outdoor area was 100x better than the larger hotels on either side. Thoughtful little snacks in the TV room for guests. The flamingo grill (just a short walk away and the breakfast spot next to it were delightful. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely love Willow Bay Resort! The staff are so kind and amazing! The view is PERFECT, and the play area is the very best! Games for the family and reading areas, fire pits, ping pong, etc. Its in a great location, peivate but near anything you want. We will definitely stay again! Loved it!

Very cute courtyard, great access to beach, however the pool was small and dirty- looking. The building is old, although the hotel itself is new, so they’re still renovating. The ceilings and walls have cracks in them. No overhead lighting or ceiling fan. The dishwasher sounds like it’s going to explode when it’s being run. Exhaust fans in bathrooms don’t work. Walls are paper thin. I was also charged an additional property fee after booking, but I believe this was on Expedia, which I’m not happy about.

Property is well kept, owners seem to really care that you are satisfied. Nice lady at front desk. Some features inside are aging but it was clean with nice balcony. We felt safer than being in some of the bigger places along the ocean. Lots of activities outside for families and just a quick walk to the beach. Easy parking in front of building.

I recommend the willow bay resort in Myrtle Beach. Stayed recently in march 2024. Perfect location, easy to walk to restaurants and coffee and the beach. Look at the pictures online, it looks just like that. The pool wasn’t open yet but they have a Jacuzzi tub in the room,That is so perfect. Angie, at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating with great information. Definitely would like to stay again soon.
