Perfect house, perfect location
My family and I had a great time at the Secret Mermaid house. It’s so clean, cozy, and spacious. The location is perfect. The fireplace was the star this weekend.

Stay here!
This was our second time staying here and again we had a wonderful stay! Location is perfect to walk to coffee and restaurants and we had a lovely Thanksgiving cooking in their new kitchen. Jon and Mia have thought of everything you may need and respond quickly. We will be back to visit our college kids and hope to stay again! Thank you:)

The Perfect Getaway
We can’t say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating Mia and Jon were. We had a lot of questions as it was our first time traveling out of state with our toddler. Mia took the time not only to give us recommendations on local things to do as a family - but also to make sure the house had what it needed for us. It was spotlessly clean, and completely comfortable! They are great hosts; who know how to balance being available and communicative, while also giving privacy to their guests. Stay with them for a wonderful time in Mystic. :)

Beautiful home and a perfect location
My family of four and I stayed at the Secret Mermaid over a long fall weekend while visiting my son for Parents Weekend at one of the nearby colleges, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The home is exactly as advertised. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated—my wife even asked me to find out the color of paint they used in the kitchen. The property was tastefully appointed with all the amenities you would want for a relaxing stay. All the appliances appeared to be brand new and were spotless. The owners even left us a nice welcome note along with a gift card to a local bakery just a short walk down the street (be sure to try the sticky cinnamon buns if they haven't sold out). Speaking of walking, the location was ideal—just a 5-10 minute stroll into town and all the restaurants and shops. My family and I have stayed at VRBO properties from Hawaii to Mexico, Aruba, Antigua, and all over the U.S., and this was the cleanest and most beautifully decorated property we've had the pleasure of staying in. The hosts were very helpful and accessible, answering our few questions within minutes. We absolutely loved our visit and look forward to coming back soon.

Fall Weekend Getaway
This was the perfect house for a reunion of 4 college friends. It was so comfortable. Jon and Mia are wonderful hosts- so accommodating and helpful. They always replied promptly to our questions and went out of their way to make us sure we felt at home. The location of the house is perfect as well- walking distance to Main St. where there are wonderful shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this home!

Lovely house in an amazing location.
We rented this house for a long weekend to escape the city life, and visit some family. This house was incredible. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. Plenty of amenities to meet everyones needs. The location is amazing. Just off the main "strip" of Mystic. You get peace and quiet with the ability to be at your first Mystic destination after a 3 minute walk. We were so pleased, we plan to stay here again!

Family Mystic Trip
We spent a long weekend at this lovely house! It was prefect for walking in to town for shopping and eating. We did the Mystic Aquarium one day. House is close to Rhode Island so we took a day trip there for a beach day in Westerly. Plus we took ferry to Block Island another day. Great location and overall great feel to the house. It was very homey, beautifully decorated and everything is top notch. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Home in Mystic
My family of 5 loved our stay in this lovely home in Mystic! The house was so fresh and clean, beds were very comfortable and location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to shop and eat multiple times a day. We enjoyed reading and relaxing on the front porch rocking chairs. Jon and Mia checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was perfect. If we visit Mystic again we would definitely stay in this house!

The Best Blue House!
We loved our stay at this charming mystic property! It was so Close To Town and the beach, very convenient for anyone looking to explore the area! The accommodations were 10/10. We were Thrilled with the bedrooms, updated bathrooms and kitchen. Everything was so clean and new and beyond our expectations. Wonderful location
I stayed with my husband and 3 daughters on a trip to New England. Mystic was our first stop of many. Jon and Mia were welcoming from the first communication we had prior to arriving. We were thrilled to find the location of this home is within walking distance of cute shops and restaurants. The home itself was lovely and had everything we needed and more. The bedroom space was perfect for our family of adults and children and we enjoyed the downstairs living space for gathering to play games, to sit and relax and even rocking on the parch chairs as we enjoyed the activity of the neighborhood. There was live music on the water (near the drawbridge) the first night of our arrival which added to the charm of the town.

Very Best in Mystic!
We traveled here for a less than fun reason, my daughter's knee surgery, HOWEVER, the numerous amenities of the home and its prime location made it so pleasant and much more like a true vacation. The water across the street, a five minute walk to Downtown Mystic, and great and safe areas to run all made our visit perfect. The best restaurants are all walkable! No parking to deal with.The house is newly remodeled and the finishes are topnotch, plus the beds were super comfortable and the linens are luxurious with plenty of towels and the hosts provided so many extra's like multiple varieties of coffee (Keurig), dishwasher pods, and laundry pods, I so appreciate not having to go the added expense of buying small drugstore amounts of those items when traveling. My daughter appreciated the full bath on the main floor and all the reclining seats! We found our place in Mystic! Can't wait to return.

A memorable memorial day
My husband and I stayed at Jon and Mia’s for 5 nights. It’s a fantastic location, just a hop skip and a jump into town. The house was as advertised, Neely remodeled, and it was very well equipped with everything we needed. We only used the king size bed, and it was super comfortable! Jon amd Mia were excellent hosts and ready to jump at any need, which we didn’t need, as everything was perfect! We would definitely stay again.

Such an amazing house and an amazing weekend!!
We had an amazing time in Mystic! The house is beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly want. It was nice and clean and everything was brand new! The location is awesome and we really enjoyed walking to all the restaurants downtown. Jon and Mia were so nice, they checked on us and made sure we were comfortable, and was quick to respond when we had a question. The beds were SUPER comfortable, and the landscaped gardens were just beautiful. We loved eating out on the porch! We couldn't have been more pleased with our getaway. We can't wait to go back!
