The motel is in a convenient location and felt extremely safe as a solo traveller. Room was great, bed comfortable. Really like the close proximity to beach area, shopping, readurants and transport.

The Express is a great option for any business trip in the bay. It's convenient located in Napier with lots dining options within walking distance. Rooms are always clean and nicely presented.

The only complaint would be the bed. It was a little stiff and uncomfortable. And fyi it has a really strange door locking where you push the door lock before closing the door and unlock it with a key.

One of our party is an insulin dependant diabetic who was unable to freeze some ice bricks for the car trip from Napier to Wellington. Also no breakfast on site. The hotel is only a few blocks from the city centre which was quite convenient.

It was a little hard to find using Google when the entrance and building labels were around the corner from where we parked. Sign in was fast and helpful. Don't let the 4 star rating fool you, this was a 5star but no-frills experience which I absolutely appreciated. Fully recommend.
