it is a lovely ryokan, run by lovely people who are more than happy to go out of their way to accommodate peoples' needs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food, (if you are keen on traditional Japanese fish courses) is devine. But it is just not worth the price tag - they also need more clarity in their advertising regarding their onsen (hot spring) and whether the room you are booking includes on or not. Honestly, we would not have booked this ryokan had we known our room (that was more expensive than 4 nights accommodation in Osaka combined) did not contain a private onsen, we would not have booked it, so be wary regarding that - but we cannot fault the stay itself, maybe they just need to cheapen the deal...
