Close to Parthenon
The hotel is located across the street from Centennial Park, and we enjoyed a walk thru the park. The A/C unit in our room did not keep up with our comfort level, but it was satisfactory.

It was a convenient location. Walking distance to a few shops and restaurants. Overall clean and enjoyable. The room was very humid, though. The sheets felt like they were almost damp and if you opened any food (my son didn’t roll up M&Ms and had opened a can of pringles) it was soft the next day from being in the damp room. Very nice staff, helpful and clean room. Only issue was the dampness. You also had to pay for wifi which is wild to me but not unheard of, I guess.

This hotel seems like the best deal… a safe, comfortable place to stay for less than many closer hotels. It is safe. It is comfortable! Parking is very expensive and with “in and out privileges” it negates the convenience of having a shuttle. If I were to do it over, I would have stayed somewhere closer for $50 more a night without the shuttle and parking fee.

We stayed overnight and accidentally left behind a dear stuffed animal. When I discovered it was missing, I called the hotel and left a voicemail with the Lost and Found. However, I didn't get a call back, so I called again and spoke to someone, who instructed me to report the lost item at findmystuff.com. A few days went by, and I got a message that our item had not been found, but they'd keep looking. Fortunately, we live about half an hour away, so I drove up to Nashville today to see if there was anything that could be done. We were also fortunate to be helped by Aarushi. She was kind, compassionate, and helpful - she offered to go back to the area where lost items are stored. After a few minutes, she returned with our lost stuffed animal. To me, the way she treated us exemplified world-class customer service. I would recommend this hotel based on this one interaction. It may not sound like much, but it meant the world to our child.

We enjoyed our stay there but there was only a valet parking option w no self park at $49/day which I was not excited about. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel, nice bar and good breakfast spot.

Not a good marriott
The property is tired, the air conditioning is loud, does not really cool, and keeps you up all night unless you're used to sleeping inside a jet engine. the first room we were given was so lud, we got upgraded to the 'concierge' level, which really meant nothing in terms of quality of room or bedding or AC. I have stayed at marriots around the world and this is without doebt the worst. Not to mention the 50$ valet that takes 15 minutes to get your car.
