Albert Blakely's enchanting stone cottage is a meticulously restored 1930s historic home nestled in the heart of Franklin. Meticulously upgraded for your comfort, it's a 1/2 mile walk to the vibrant and eclectic downtown Franklin, where you can immerse yourself in live music, shopping, delectable dining, and Civil War history.
Amidst the wave of demolitions and new constructions replacing older homes in the vicinity, the experience offered by the Historic Blakely House from the 1900s is increasingly rare. Here, you'll encounter a glimpse of architectural heritage in a vanishing landscape, steeped in the stories of remarkable people.

The entire house will be at your disposal.

We reside in Franklin and are readily available should you require any assistance.

The Historic Blakely House is located on Natchez Street, a mere mile away from downtown Franklin. This area holds historical significance, once being the site of the Battle of Franklin. For over a century, it served as a hub for various businesses, many of which were segregated. Franklin has evolved significantly over the years and now finds itself on lists like Big 7 Travel's "Most Charming Small Towns Across America." Downtown Franklin is a harmonious blend of historical preservation and contemporary sophistication. Just 14 miles from Nashville, you'll discover a haven of Southern hospitality within a 16-block historic district, housing award-winning antique shops, local gift stores, fashionable boutiques, privately owned art galleries, lovingly restored residences, and more.

Nashville, Leiper's Fork, Columbia, and a host of other vacation destinations are short drives from the Blakely House.

Please be aware that there is a $95 pet fee for guests bringing their furry companions. Kindly inform us in advance if you plan to bring your pet.

The driveway to the right of the home is shared, though the parking spaces are not. There's ample parking available at the rear of the property.

Two security cameras are installed outside the house, with one focused on the parking area and the other monitoring the front porch.

Unwind on our front porch, sipping sweet tea, and bask in the authentic community of Franklin.

Darling Home in Franklin
We loved this home... beds were comfortable, the video games a nice extra... our kids even got us to play a little. Great location for everything in Franklin. Loved the little extra touches... popcorn, tea, very thoughtful. Thanks for an easy in and out, wonderful stay.

Delightful property. Would return.
We adored the quaint charm of this lovely 1930s built bungalow. The hosts were wonderfully communicative. Being former VRBO owners ourselves, we know the extra effort it takes to truly make a property feel like home, and their effort is deeply appreciated. The property is located very close to downtown Franklin, a mere few minute, walk to the main two circles. We hosted Thanksgiving for our family of 4+2 additional family members. There were ample rooms for privacy for all. No lack of hot water, place settings, or diversions for guests of all ages. The hosts ensure that there are games, puzzles, electronics, books and smart TVs that may be enjoyed by all. An additional touch, the coffee bar is stellar. Not knowing whether or not the kitchen would be appropriately stocked to host such a daring meal, The only thing I wish I had was a knife sharpener and a meat thermometer. Understand that the stone building is nearly 100 years old. Tastefully, decorated and renovated, the floors are a little creaky and modern amenities took creative efforts to install, but this does not take anything away from the property. The home straddles a gentrified section of Franklin. We felt very secure with the police department down the street any fenced in yard that our dog spent hours exploring. The photos are true to the home's condition. Should her family ever need a VRBO in the future, we would absolutely return.

A Wonderful House in Franklin
This house was just what we were looking for. First, it was in a fantastic location, a ½ mile walk from downtown Franklin, TN. We loved looking at the lovely 1800’s homes, beautifully restored, along Main Street as we walked into downtown. The location was also convenient for trips into Nashville, an easy 20-mile drive. We drove off the main highway into Nashville several times so we could enjoy seeing all the pretty properties on the way. Secondly, the house itself was great. It was remodeled and had a newer kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There were 2 family rooms with TVs, one upstairs, one down. It was just the 2 of us, but I could see how this house would be an excellent choice for 2 families. The house was very clean and tidy, and there was a laundry room – one of my “must haves” on longer vacations. Maybe most important to the success of our stay were our hosts. Dan and Amy communicated well - from the time our reservation was made to the day we left. They checked in to see if we had any questions/needs after arrival, they suggested a walk we might like, and they sent us a reminder when we left. They even provided a framed postcard of Franklin as a souvenir of our stay. A very thoughtful team. We would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Franklin or the surrounding areas.

Great house
If you do not like staying in big cities like Nashville, this house is ideal. The house is very comfortable and spotless. The fenced yard is perfect for your dog. As advertised it is a short walk to civil war sites. And a short drive to the Natchez Trace, Leiper's Fork, and Nashville. Perfect!

Lovely little cottage close to downtown
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage near downtown Franklin. It was a quick couple of minutes drive to downtown where parking can easily be found at the 4th Street parking garage. The house is stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, board games and puzzles to entertain the kids, and a cute little coffee/tea bar in the kitchen (I especially loved the electric tea kettle!).

Excellent Stay!
My family loved our stay at the Blakely House. Blakely House is a historic home that has been beautifully redone. The home still has so much of the historical charm with all the modern conveniences. The hosts also had a great area with maps & information about the beautiful town of Franklin. We were visiting the area because it was a convenient spot for a tournament we were in but ended up loving the town of Franklin. We loved our stay & we'll definitely choose Blakely House again. The

Perfect stay for Brownland experience
We were looking for a place close to the horse show at Brownland Farms that would accommodate a few people and allow pets. We had no idea how cute and perfect this house would be. Only 10 minutes from the show grounds and, bonus, 5 minutes from downtown Franklin! Could not have picked a better house.

Repeat Renter at this Property
We really enjoyed our stay at this property several months ago, so rented it again. On this visit, we had some time to enjoy the second-floor sun porch at the front of the house. It is a great place to watch people and cars go by, or to read a book. We were very comfortable in this home and plan to book it again.

First and foremost, our hosts could not have been more communicative! We were utterly impressed with their care and consideration over our entire stay. The drive is shared with two other abodes and the neighbors were friendly and helpful! While this house is historic, the renovation and furnishings are top notch and very comfortable!
