The place is beautiful, Royal beach is beautiful, I didn’t get to explore the entire resort but what I saw was beautiful. Staff were attentive if you had an issue. WiFi wasn’t great but they had a work around which was helpful. The menu portion on the TV was not working great. Also need more restaurants at the Royal, need more family friendly entertainment in the night, not much to do after dinner with kids. Also, could use more variety of shops for average working folks. Lastly, thanks to the staff for the bottle waters. None was in the room which surprised me, I don’t mind buying water, I usually purchase a case, but I’m also used to resorts having at minimum two complementary per day. So thanks to the manager who reached out and assisted.

My 3 time here in this part of the island. The Royal missed to disclose that you. Wed extra step to get an airport shuttle. Make sure you call receipt before booking online. It will cost you more than 150$. Other than the service was excellent.

Room was awful- most outlets and lights didn’t work, the bathroom toilet was gross, the hair dryers don’t work. It was extremely inconvenient to charge two phones, having to share one outlet. Also, the resort is next level expensive for what you get- meaning food quality was poor for price. No problem shelling out money for good food. I was also significantly injured on a water slide, dropping blood and was ignored by the lifeguard on duty and sent to three different places while deipping blood all over the grounds. I was injured due to an operator error on the water slide, yet no one would listen to my concerns. I was told it happens all the time. At any given time, slides were closed due to accidents and injuries and low water pressure. Pretty big bummer for the price. Due to my injury, I couple even enjoy our last day and no comp was offered. Also no water bottles at check in was closrly. Overall not a great experience. We had a better time at margaritaville ans were safer. I now have to follow up with my doctor for the arm injury after being told there was no doctor on staff to tend to my injury! I traveled with my 9 year old son, which was very hard to handle after the injury. Do better Atlantis.

I liked: ocean view room (17th floor), The Dig and the Barbie Boardwalk is in the same hotel. If you're into casinos and clubs, its a 3 mins walk. Lazy/rapid rivers and the serpent slide (get to see the sharks). Disliked: They ran out of the water bottles and I really wanted one before I left (didn't get one). The app for the resort map doesn't really work properly. You should take a picture of the map and try to familiarize yourself with it. Yes there are signs for directions, but you can still get lost.

For the amount of money it cost to stay here, things need to be cleaner such as the glass in the tunnel to see the sharks and fishes. Too mush algae green stuff making hard to see. Also It needs to be disclosed that when we give the card on file at check in, there is a hold of over 500 placed on the card. The whole resort is cashless, which is not good.
