This home built on a historic carriage garage has beautifully restored hardwood floors and original tiger oak wood trim throughout the home. Loved our stay at the Carriage House! It was so pretty, clean, cozy, and just right for a long weekend mother daughter trip! The only thing I would suggest for future guests is to add the hot tub is shared between the properties. We did not feel comfortable going to the other house to access it as it was so close to the other home. We appreciated the quick response and assistance to access hot water, along with the follow up the next morning. Thank you so much!

The cottage was not luxury. It has adequate living space and kitchen facilities. The beds were comfortable. That is where the positives end. There were no amenities in bathroom. Cottage was in a run down neighborhood with shacks as views. We thought we were staying in a cottage in beautiful Hocking Hills. The property was old and outside unkept, paint peeling, weeds everywhere. Hot tub was shared with B&B next door and you had to walk across a parking lot. The remote control on the TV did not work an when we finally were able to communicate with property manager we were told that the housekeeper was aware that it did not work. I spilled water on the floor and when I wiped it up the paper towel was black with dirt. The VRBO description did not match the actual. Would not recommend.

The communication ahead of the trip was prompt and very attentive, until check in. I did not understand that we were going to the Business for the Key. We arrived and left thinking something was wrong only to have to circle back 10 minutes later. Perhaps this could be clarified in the communications. Place was very clean and tidy, comfortable! ** Significant Earwig bug problem. ALL OVER and even In the couches!

Perfect Bike Trail Access
We were here primarily for a biking experience and it did not disappoint. Quiet, clean , very nice space. We cooked some of our meals and ate at some local places for others. It was nice to be able to walk or bike to the places we wanted to go. It was a bonus to have a garage to park our bikes and car in.

The property was just as the pictures stated it was. Just a few minor things that need to be addressed like the locks needs to be fixed or changed, and the door leading upstairs has a gash at the top of it like it’s been hit. No washer/dryer in the place. But very nice spot to relax. Would stay here again.

Property was exactly how it was listed. Pretty quite for location being in town and behind a Bed and Breakfast. Very clean! Only reason I did not give it a five start rating was because hot tub and parking are shared with the Bed and Breakfast. Little walk to hot tub and If you book a weekend where they are busy you might not get to park by the house. Have to park on the street and walk back the driveway because Bed and Breakfast guest take up the parking.

Great little home for a getaway
Our daughter picked this cute little place to spend her 21st birthday. Nice place. Very accommodating. Only thing, if you run hot, this might not be the place for you. Only window air conditioners and in 90 degree heat, it doesn’t do well. Oh and the locks on both doors weren’t very stable. Kept messing up and wouldn’t line up. But in this great state, we can carry. So I wasn’t too worried.

Overall satisfactory with a few disappointments
We enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed by the hot tub, slightly dirty with some broken features. The clamp holding up the shower head in one of the bathrooms was broken. A couple things on the listing amenities are not available. So a touch of false advertising we felt. But overall we did have a nice stay and made the most of it.

Overall, I'd stay here again. Nice and clean with comfortable beds, right up the street from the center of Nelsonville, and a 15-20 minute drive to OU. Use of the garage was key for us as we had a dirt bikes and Wayne National Forest was only 8 minutes away. Couple of annoyances - no soap or shampoo provided which was a surprise the first night and SmartTV does not have Roku/Firestick and limited apps (Netflix, but no YouTubeTV). Also, would be nice to have a Keurig rather than a traditional coffee pot and something to kick your feet up on while sitting on the couch. Like I said above, none were huge deals (except for not knowing there was no soap/shampoo) for us but a few items that may improve the experience of staying here.

Beautiful spot. Little hard to find.
Our cottage was beautiful. Loved the rose petals on the bed. Wife loved it. Only complaint would be that it was a little hard to find at first. Also, we couldn't get the jacuzzi jets to work. (Although that could have just been due to our lack of knowledge about Jacuzzis)
