Simple but clean
We stayed one night while visiting friends. The accommodations were very simple but clean. I was especially impressed with the bedding, crisp and clean. It was affordable and quiet - I'm sure because it is off season and there was only one other car in the lot. Staff was courteous and accommodating.

Room was clean but pretty aged and well worn. Floor had a severe slant to where the dresser had blocks under 2 legs to level it. Floor transition strip was loose and had nails sticking out. Outside area was not swept or clean.

There was a dead roach in the dining room when we arrived. Then saw roaches in the bathroom and throughout also saw roaches crawling up the wall of friends suite.

The location was great. Quiet and with a beautiful view of the Comal river. Close proximity to downtown area, river and schlitterbahn. While our visit was in the off season, this would be a great place to stay to visit the aforementioned activities close by. Cons were that the mattresses were very hard, springy and cheap feeling. The furnishings left a lot to be desired. The living area was scarcely furnished with just a loveseat and dingy recline chair. There was a broken end table in the corner of the room, it just felt ā€œcold.ā€ The barstools on the patio were cheap and uncomfortable. Skimp decor. All in all, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the view of the river, it was very peaceful as we were the only ones staying on the property. Staff was nice during check in. We would be happy to return in the off seasons.
