About this property

Life is good on the farm

This is the perfect place to come get a fresh perspective and some fresh air in the mountains, on the ranch. Close to some of the most popular hikes and National Parks, it’s a great place to escape to. Zion National Park is 45 min. Kolob canyon 5 min. Grand Canyon 2 hours. Bryce Canyon 2 hours. Ceder Breaks half hour. We are right in the middle of all that. The night sky is gorgeous. The stars and the Milky Way are visible and spilling across the sky. We have an outdoor fire pit where you can sit and melt into the night after a day of hiking. Or, On cold nights, hanging out by the fireplace in your space, with a cup of hot coco.
The space
This space is in my daylight basement apartment. It has its own entry. You never have to see anyone. Your privacy is secured as the ceiling is made of steel beams, rebar and cement. There are games, books, a TV, kitchen and fireplace. Cleaned and disinfected after every guest.
Guest access
We are on five acres and you are more than welcome to meander everywhere. There are benches throughout and a tire swing. You are also welcome to say hi to the chickens, horses, ducks and goats. They will all treat you like a rockstar, especially if you bring them food. The wire around the horse pen is hot. So step inside, with the horses to say hi to them. They love carrots and apples. Only 1or 2 each though please.
Other things to note
We do have a washer and dryer on the premises. But they are not in the guest space. If you need a load or two done, I am more than happy to oblige.
We are on a septic system and anything besides toilet paper thrown down the toilet, Is bad, so please refrain from throwing in feminine hygiene products, cotton balls or paper towels down the toilet.
Decorative pillows are just for decoration. I only wash them once a season, so use the other pillows for sleeping.
It is helpful but in no way expected if you’d like to strip your beds at the end of your stay. I hope you have so much fun staying with us!

Clean roomy and comfortable
My mother and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting Zion. It was fun to see the horses, chickens and especially the cats who were super friendly! The space was clean and comfortable with lots of blankets to cuddle up with. Rhonda was very responsive and friendly. To enter the home, you have to manually open a garage door and enter the space through a door in the garage. The door that we entered through did not have a deadbolt or any other sort of lock from the inside. Also, when we were first exploring the house, we opened a door inside thinking it was a room and realized it was a staircase up to the owner’s home, which was not able to be locked and secured from our side. The listing was accurate in that it is a basement apartment below the main house. Even though our privacy was respected, I personally prefer a little more feelings of security when I stay somewhere. Other than that, we enjoyed our time. It is very close to Kolob Canyon. I would definitely recommend visiting there! One of our favorite hikes from our trip ended up being an unmarked trail we found at Kolob Canyon. MUCH less crowded than Zion. The home is also close to the highway with easy access to a fairly large town with lots of restaurant options. Although the hens weren’t laying eggs much because of the cold, Rhonda did manage to get 3 for us, which was very nice!

our host was very nice. we enjoyed the eggs for breakfast. our stay though wasn't very comfortable since the description of the house was that it has 6 beds and it only had 3. there were 4 of us so one didn't have a bed.

3 night stay
The place was perfect for our stay. It was less than a mile from where our friends were getting married and we couldnt have asked for a better accommodation. Rhonda is lovely and her sons were adorable. We can't wait to go back and spend more time hiking the area as we did not have time this go-around.

A stay in paradise
Rhonda and the farm were amazing! We pulled in after dinner on night one and had car issues. Rhonda offered to take someone to town for food and then provided milk, pancakes mix,and syrup to make sure we had breakfast in the morning. Rhonda also provided information on hikes local to her location and places at Bryce and Zion. Rhonda farm was one of the best decisions that we could have made for our trip. Definitely recommend a stay at the farm to relax and take in all of the beauty! We will be coming back!

We were so blessed to find this property for 5 adults and our 3 grandbabies. Rhonda was an amazing host!! she made us feel very welcome and made our stay very special with taking beautiful pictures of our little ones enjoying the farm animals and feeding them too. We enjoyed our spacious home, barbecued on the grill and did smores around the fire pit. We found out near the end of our stay we were just steps away from Kolob Canyons. It was such a beautiful location with little farm friends that we all loved and miss. Thanks for having us Rhonda! You were amazing ! ❤️❤️

Best VRBO experience we have ever had!
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place and the host. The rental was spacious, clean, cute, and very comfortable. Rhonda and her husband are two of the nicest people we have ever met. The rental is literally across the street from the national park so it is very easy to go for a hike and come right back without having to drive a long way. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to visit the area and we hope to visit it again one day!

Cannot say enough about what a special experience it was to stay at Rhonda and her family's farm. Our kids will never forget it the animals, in particular the baby goats Salt, Pepper, and Cinnamon. I will never forget how gracious and caring Rhonda was to my family and just wanting my kids to have meaningful experience after meaningful experience. Thank you and we very much hope to be back some day!

Rhonda was the most gracious and fun host that I've ever met. My women's hiking group of 8 stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment, the farm and the animals. We had plenty of room to spread out and it was so comfortable. She even gave us fresh eggs.

Our stay was incredible! Rhonda and her husband are so hospitable. They welcomed us with fresh eggs, and Rhonda made our stay extra memorable with a visit with the farm animals. Not only did we get to cuddle with the horses, chicks, and baby goats but we also got to bottle feed one. The place is beautifully decorated and spacious. Rhonda also gave us tips on unique gorgeous local hikes. We loved our stay and wish we had more time to spend here.

Friendly and comfortable, like staying with family
We truly enjoyed our stay here at the farm with Rhonda! She treated us like family from arrival through to departure. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen equipped with what we needed, the living space was good and the bathrooms clean. Our 5 year old LOVED being allowed to help feed and handle the animals, it was the highlight of his stay. One thing to note, the laundry facilities are upstairs in the main house not in the downstairs unit but Rhonda was happy to make arrangements to use them. Would love to be able to come back to this area and explore the canyons (Kolob is only minutes away) more and spend time with the goats, chickens and horses!!

Amazing Vacation!
Rhonda was a wonderful host! She took the time to share her farm animals with our five year old son and he was thrilled! He got to hold a hen and a newborn baby goat as well! He collected eggs from the hen house and fed apples to the horses! So awesome! He loved every minute and we did too! The house was so clean and so incredibly comfortable and spacious. Rhonda even gave us fresh eggs and home made muffins. There was also coffee, fruit, oatmeal, Mac n cheese and more. Rhonda also gave us tips on absolutely incredible hikes that were easy for our son and let us enjoy the gorgeous scenery at Zion. A truly memorable family trip. Our son said it was the best trip we’ve ever been on! Thank you Rhonda!

Wonderful stay!
I can’t even say enough good things about this stay. The hostess communicated incredibly well, provided recommendations, and provided an amazing stay. The property is lovely, well equipped, the beds were AMAZING and the kitchen well stocked. It’s very spacious but cozy. The property is lovely with horses and chickens and a very entertaining goose. The details are incredibly charming (book shelves and fun decorations). We had an incredibly embarrassing snafu with the nights I booked and the hostess truly saved our vacation with grace. It’s not super close to grocery or restaurants, etc but our hostess told us that in advance so we were prepared. It was completely worth it to be away from hustle and bustle but also 3 minutes from the Kolob Canyons entrance. Highly recommend this property. You won’t find a nicer person than Rhonda. She shares her home as if you were family.

Rhonda, the Host & this cozy Ranch living experience was just God Send! When the host goes out of their way to provide Fresh Eggs every day & horse riding, it’s a Bonus!! This bug-free environment with great views, outside fire pits, easy & short access to the Canyons were a plus too.
