This property has a photo online on Expedia that did not in any way reflect the room we were given. Our room opened to the outside and at the end there was a little patio. The litle patio was fine. The room however smelled of mold and mildew. When my daughter and I stepped inside, we took one look and retreated from the smell. We saw what looked to be black mold on the floor. I know that there was a lot of damage to buildings after Hurricane Katrina that required rennovations and who knows where the issue stemmed from really. I do know that we could not stay in this environment. Though we were inconvenienced, had to get transportation to the hotel, then away to a second hotel "Holy Angels" we did at least get an upgrade to a much better room. For some reason however, my booking for two nights did not show. We were called and told our "stuff" would be put out of the room if we did not pay for our second night immediately. This necessary and unexpected action really put a dampner on our stay in New Orleans. We did appreciate the effort to move us, however it was clear that much of the staff we interracted with needed "customer service" training. We felt like invaders or like we were annoying to staff. We did need to have a lot of texts because staff is not readily available in person. For example, when we moved onto the second hotel, we were told we could store our luggage a few hours as we waited for our airlines to take off. No one was at the desk at 11 for checkout.

Precious place!! I would suggest that staff at least turn the room ac on (even if at a higher temp) during the louisiana summer months. My place was pretty stuffy when I arrived. Otherwise, the place was precious, the room and common areas were CLEAN, and i had everything i needed!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Right in front of a street car stop so itā€™s easy to ride to the French quarter. Staff was wonderful. If we ever come back to New Orleans we will stay here.

This is my second time staying here. And it is just as good as the first time I remember. Although itā€™s new management now itā€™s still just as great. And the online room key and passcode is great! Just a little long šŸ˜‚

The staff was spot on, kind and friendly as we went through two rainstorms that knocked out power and took systems offline. Staff was right there with support and solutions. Such a convenient location when you learn the bus and trolley system. We will stay here again.

Located right next to Trolley stop on the St. Charles line and with a number of nice restaurants nearby, this quaint hotel is very nice and clean and imparts a feeling of old New Orleans to your stay! The staff is excellent.

Letā€™s start with the good. Convenient to trolly. Itā€™s right outside. Room was incredibly clean. Staff while not onsite was always reachable and incredibly nice. Towels were fluffy and shower was hot! Price was reasonable. Now the badā€¦internet nor tv worked continuously. Bed was awful. Too gushy, so much so you couldnā€™t move. Air conditioning worked but it seemed to never cool room completely. Not a horrible experience but because of the bed, I wouldnā€™t book again.
