I’ve never stayed in New Orleans before so I didn’t know much about the area. But this apartment was in walking distance to everything! The coffee shop, St. Pat’s Irish Coffee House, is just around the corner and so good! The food at Namaste Nola and Le Bayou Restaurant was superb! We drove over to Barataria Preserve and Shell Beach. Go eat at Speck’s if you go to Shell Beach! The apartment had an iron coded gate over the door for extra protection. I’m a small town girl so I was a little scared being in the city so I appreciated that. It has a shared patio with a pool, tables, umbrellas, chairs which was nice. I would have preferred it to be a little more soundproof as the neighbors in the building had a party on the patio and you could basically hear every word. There were plenty of supplies (maybe a few more towels and washcloths) would be nice as there is no washer and dryer. As stated in another review, if you sleep in the bedroom closest to the patio, you have to walk through the other bedroom to get to the bathroom. It didn’t bother us, but it might some people. There was no available street parking so we parked in parking lot P338. It is just around the block from the apartment. Not far at all. However it is paid parking so be prepared. All in all, I found the property great for the price which no problems from the host. Thanks for the memories NOLA!
