Some Cleanliness Issues
We had a cockroach in our first room so they moved us to another room which had a pair of underwear still in it. Finally our third room was free of obvious issues but was still not as clean as you would expect given the price. They also did not have the yoga mats as advertised and the gym was in disrepair. On the positive side the staff were kind and pleasant. The restaurant was also nice.

A Great Stay in the Warehouse District
As a regular traveler, I know all hotels have issues occasionally. Our first night was spoiled by a faulty aircon compressor making so much noise. However though nothing could be done that night, the hotel staff worked very quickly the next day to find us another room. Service from the staff was exceptional throughout. The location is about 20 minutes from the French market and public transport is not far away either. The Tout La breakfast options were a bit limited so to be honest we went to Gospel Coffee in the Hotel Fontenot next door which had a broader offering and is open more hours. If you want to try the full on Louisiana breakfast, Mothers is very near and deserves at least one visit. The hotel itself is well presented and also offers bike hire and a small gym facility.

If you are a light sleeper, you would want to request a room on the top floor. The walls and ceiling are paper thin and you hear every little noise. People walking, taking shower, going to toilet - you hear everything. It is a pleasant hotel, but sound proof is not existent.
