Family Girls Trip
We had a great family girls trip this month! We booked the Presidential suite and 2 rooms with two double beds. The rooms were really clean and the beds were comfortable. I requested a roll a way bed but it wasn’t in the room when we checked in. The front staff were amazing and had it brought up within about 30 min. Our rooms could have used updating as far as the furniture goes but I heard they are getting ready to rebuild/remodel the hotel. The hotel was very concurrent to everything. Lots of dining and shopping within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

Hidden value for money in very expensive NY; plus hugely convenient if you're taking the train to or from Grand Central. Well cared for, with nice staff too. The old Commodore Hotel, updated.

I would say it was an okay experience. Definitely we were expecting more out of 4 star hotel in the middle of New York. To begin with, they are clearly understaffed. Always one or two people at check in and always at least half an hour wait. The rooms as well were nothing special. What definitely was not okay is bathroom. For four people we were given three bath towels and that's it - no face, hand, or other towels, just two tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner and hand soap instead of body wash. Not to mention the shower was rather old and occasionally making weird noises. Other than that it was a typical hotel, and as I mentioned above definitely below our expectations.

Too bad this hotel will be torn down soon
This hotel is so supremely located right next-door to Grand Central Station. You can literally go anywhere from this hotel almost without going outside. It is scheduled to be demolished soon which will be a huge loss. The rates are unbelievably reasonable.

Great weekend
Th stay was excellent and the Hotel located perfectly for our purpose.We had a group of 16 and we were all very impressed with the Hotel and our accommodations. Check in and out was flawless and staff was very attentive. I would like to personally give a shoutout to 2 of your restaurant staff during your buffet breakfast time. Deloris and Abdul Azad were very customer service excellent and my family enjoyed our dining experience immensely because of those individuals and they should be commended for their excellent hospitality and customer service skills. We will return to your hotel in the near future.

Staff by the front entrance was rude and doesn't seem to be too happy about being at work. The bathroom was terribly dated and needed maintenance. Water temperature was inconsistent and a strong odor lingered. Light switches did not work. The carpet in the room was incredibly dirty and doesn't seem to have been cleaned for a long time.

I really enjoyed my visit at the Hyatt. It was very clean. The staff was super nice very well maintaining property. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is fantastic if you plan to use Grand Central Terminal or the subway system or if you intend to spend a lot of time in Midtown. It often offers sale prices as well. Otherwise, it’s average, with an unremarkable lobby, bathroom, and overall décor. The only mirror in the room was above the bathroom sink, and the shower was outdated. However, I would stay here again for the location and price.
