I had a bad experience at the initial check in at this hotel. It was extremely hot outside and there were several of us (other guests waiting to check in) all waiting in the front lobby and dining area. The attendant at the front desk was dismissive and ignored most of us even though we all approached the desk at least once. It was an issue of being checked in early and being charged fees. Many of us are repeat costumers and have already experienced the accommodating service of being checked in an hour or two before regular check in time as a courtesy - especially when the weather is extreme and especially when there were so many of us. There is a big sign in the front vestibule that says "If you're not happy, we're not happy" and I couldn't help but laugh because there was a lobby full of people who clearly weren't happy and instead of addressing us or offering other suggestions, the employees stocked the fridge and avoided eye contact.

Rooms resembled photos on website, however once in the room, the detail was equivalent to putting lipstick on a pig. Wall paper peeling off the walls, a coat of paint to hide stains. Upon entering the room, the only thing I believe was cleaned was the bedding and towels. Hair every in the bathroom, feces on the floor on side of toilet, mirrors caked in smears. We stayed two nights. Both nights starting around 7am it was like you were walking through Jamaica. The smell of weed was so strong on each floor down the Hal’s that you just about got a contact high. Typically the smell does not bother me and I could care less if someone is smoking, however, it’s almost like this hotel is known for smoking pot and people go there to hangout and smoke. The cleaning lady walks up and down the halls with 3 bottles of fabreeze spraying it down. We stayed at this hotel for a baseball tournament. I would never stay again nor would I recommend a family staying here. Very shady characters in and out. Dirty. The entire hotel including lobby smell like pot and staff is not welcoming to families at all.
