I have stayed at this property many times. It’s like being at home in New York. The best feature or the hotel, Besides the service and location, is the club room. It is where breakfast is served and is open 24 hours/day and provides a comfortable lounge and living area with refreshments outside of your room.

The property is very quaint as one would expect of a hotel that has been around for almost 100 years...the furniture is a bit tired as are the carpets but the rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are quite tight space wise. There is only one elevator to the rooms but it is quite large and did not have any issues. The second floor coffee lounge was a nice treat. The staff is incredible and the big surprise was the very popular Monkey Bar at the property. Location is hard to beat.

We loved it…
We loved this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was fully renovated. Not a problem… but the couch upholstery could have been refreshed… aka redone. Bottomline… we were very happy. We will stay again.

Still Charming - fabulous stay!
The hotel staff is gracious and attentive, and especially welcoming in the lounge, with its private-club vibe as the place for continental breakfast and afternoon snacks. The decor is classy but ready to be refreshed. Nevertheless, housekeeping is top-notch and maintains the hotel's charm and appeal

If you like 100 year old hotels (we do!) this is a great one! We walked 25,000 steps one day from the hotel - convenient to theaters, Central Park, High LIne, 5th Ave, etc. Hotel was very quiet and has a wonderful comfortable lounge stocked with free snacks all day and just enough breakfast foods to start the day. Small bathroom but well appointed. Will definitely stay here again.

No restaurant except the touristy loud Monkey which is horrible. No nice bar, no mini bar, & no room service. Had to go outside hotel to have a drink or nice meal. The mattress was saggy- if you don’t have a great back, you will be in pain. TV in cabinet with doors that are in the way when open. No way to charge a phone close to the bed. A once elegant hotel that’s in disrepair. Needs an entire renovation.

Exactly what I would expect from a classical French style hotel. Rooms slightly ‘out-dated,’ but not in a bad way—utilizing antique furniture and wall decor. The staff was very professional and helpful. They were able to help me with every request and offered help beyond what I would have even asked for. Very conveniently located. We were near everything we wanted to do. I would definitely stay here again.

Such friendly and helpful staff at Hotel Elysée!! Loved the character of this hotel and the daily breakfast on the second floor. Walkable to Times Square and Central Park. I will be staying here next time I come to NYC.
