My stay was perfect for my short trip, 6 min walk to the subway and 20 mins away from the city. I would leave early and come home Late so just slept and showered. The area is a bit rough so I would just be aware of your surroundings when waking to the subway but I’m from SFO so if you know you know

good attention from the receptionist but I would like them to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms, I am not a smoker so the smell of marijuana makes my head hurt, but what I really disliked a lot was the presence of a roaster in the bathroom, they should take care of it a little more, I hope this serves as an opportunity for improvement, thank you

Moca Hotel 10/18 - 10/20/24
Staff is indifferent to customers. At check in - given a room, upon entering the room - it looked like occupants had just gotten out of bed - not cleaned. Had to wait for a room to be cleaned. 2nd room clean - found balcony door would not latch or lock closed - allowing cold air into room. Heater not working. Shower did not have a full enclosure - only a swinging glass door - and about 18" of gap - allowing water to splash all over the floor creating a slip hazard. My wife found hair on the "clean towels". Also this hotel rents rooms on an hourly basis - cash only - suspect clientel using this place. Unfortunately, with its location and arrangement, this could be a great place if properly managed.

Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. It is not only far away from everything, so you will have to spend extra effort and money to return back, but it is also a motel by the hour for people to have s*x and a shelter. They don’t advertise this and you realize once you are there. The ceiling of the shower does not work so it will end up wetting your clothes and the floor, so you will have to mop with your clothes and towel afterwards. There are adjoining doors connecting room to room- and you can hear everything and the scandal that is going over there until early morning hours. You cannot sleep. There are no bathrooms to use if you are in the lobby waiting for an Uber or taxi. Also, you will wake up in the middle of the night scared that someone will break in to your room either through the front door or the room adjacent door. I have not felt so in danger than when staying here. Not worth it. It’s better to spend some extra bucks somewhere else than here.

Disgusting place, don’t waste your money!
I did not stay because I tried 2 different rooms and they were disgusting. There was no top sheet on the beds and the bottom sheets were stained and had cigarette holes burned in them. The mattresses were saggy and the cloth bed frames were filthy. The doors didn’t have locks, the light in the first bathroom was burned out. The hotel didn’t offer me a refund for my $250 room even though I was only there for about 20 minutes

Pretty much just a cheap hostel with your own bathroom. Staff were nice but not overly helpful, our bathroom flooded every time we used the shower because it was missing half the glass and our door to the balcony wouldn’t close properly.

Came here with my sister for our first holiday to NYC. Upon arriving the lady on the desk was rude. Took my card off me didn’t tell me how much it was or that she was taking it right away then swiped it. When it didn’t work she told me I had to come into the office area to put my pin in. I did so and came back out. As we went to our room it smelt of cigarettes, marihuana and we could hear people arguing. We went into our room and was there for all of about 30 minutes. The cleanliness was poor. The floors were dirty, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned as someone had used it and there was marks all in the toilet. I took my sliders off to change into my trainers and my socks from just standing in the same bit of floor ended up filthy. The room smelt. The floor in the hallway had water or some substance that look like it all over. When we turned to lock the door, the door cover for the card was hanging off the door. There was no top lock as it had been taken off. We immediately searched for another hotel. We booked an uber and went back to the reception to let her know we didn’t feel safe and couldn’t stay there. She acted like she didn’t know anything about the door or the fact the room hadn’t been touched. We said they could keep that nights fees and whatever else but asked if we could have a refund for the rest as we hadn’t even been in the room long she then got onto the phone to someone and didn’t speak English in front of us and said we couldn’t have a refund. a follow in part2
