This hotel is old but spotlessly clean. Its position is excellent for sightseers like us and the staff helpful. The only draw back for us was the complimentary breakfast and coffee service. Breakfast was adequate but ordinary and we hate throw away plates and Cutlery and the coffee pots was always empty when we came back from our day out and non-existent after 6pm, right when you need them. Having said that, we'd come back here when next in New York. It is good value for money.

Central location is only one of the perks!
Perfectly located, friendly staff. We (3 friends on a girls trip)were staying for 9 nights and were pleasantly surprised at the complimentary upgrade that made our stay very comfortable. There is a basic breakfast of good coffee, juices, fruit, toast, yoghurt and cookies that is more than enough to get one going. Another nice touch is the free coffee, juice, water between 6am and 6pm, should you need a rest from a long day of shopping! The only downside is that it feels very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights (at least our room was), In spite of this, we would stay there again.

The hotel was clean, professionally staffed and welcoming! I noticed these things upon arrival. i loved that they had a continental breakfast and coffee in the morning as well as a happy hour in the evening.

Good for a solo traveler
The room was quite small, but adequate for my needs as a solo business traveler staying one night. It was clean and quiet - which I value more than square footage -- and the location is convenient to Penn Station. I could walk easily to my event near Bryant Park. I would stay here again. But the free breakfast was nothing to write home about.

Hotel Stanford's wifi needs to have a 24 hour maintenance as I kept going cut off & the tv needs some (or in my case, antthing as there wasn't anything to watch) channels, not even any local channel were on display. Other than that, everything worked fantastically. Staff gave a helping hand on most of my issues, all were patience. Only thing I would suggest they add was an ice machine & a microwave in all the rooms. 8/10

Spacious room. We had a king size bed and a living room area. Largest room we ever had in NYC. Close proximity to Broadway, Times Square, MSG. We would stay here again.

Great location for walking to everything. Very Clean. Staff was very nice and friendly. Wifi was iffy. Didn’t work most of the time. As international travellers that was a big issue.
