Pros: Great location, new facility, clean & bright room. Cons: Loud air conditioner, long wait for elevators, Chaotic and tiny lobby. Room small with no drawers or shelves for storage. Closet was 12 inches wide. Stayed 3 nights, room had a loud mechanical vibrating sound that happens every 60 seconds. Called maintenance twice. Front desk finally agreed to change room after second night and acknowledged that they knew about the crazy sound in our room.

AC did not work first night, was so loud it didnt let us sleep and then just stopped working. It was tended to but still a bit loud which was actually ok because it served as additional white noise for the occasionally loud corridors (yes, you can hear neighbors coming and going). Breakfast although free was gross and so overcrowded I skipped it the next few days. Food as expected was cold, dry, hard (pancakes, sausage patties, bacon) very poor quality food. One Elevator didnt work and around 8-10am you had to use stairs or wait for an elevator that never arrived. Even stairs would get crowded because people got tired of waiting for elevator. Extremely small rooms and surrounding area is not very pretty although it is close to many amenities in the city, etc. wouldn’t stay here for what is charged

Had a great stay at the Hyatt. Staff was very helpful and responsive to requests. We had an issue with the AC on the first night and we told them about it and it was fixed by the time we got back to our room. The room was clean and comfortable for the two of us. Breakfast was what you’d expect for a hotel breakfast. The food was good but it was always super busy, no matter what time you got there. The only major complaint about the stay was the elevator situation. There’s only 4 pretty small elevators for a 45 story hotel. There would be a line practically all day in the lobby, guests waiting to get on one to get back to their room. We were on the 16th floor and had to wait 10-20 mins for the elevator to pick us up to go down. We opted to take the stairs down most of the time cause it was faster. The location is great, convenient and on a quiet street. It’s down the street from a supermarket, just around the corner from a subway entrance, 10 minutes to Penn station/MSG and within walking distance to other tourist attractions.
