During our very first meal at the onsite restaurant, the staff intentionally brought us the wrong bottle of wine because they didn’t feel like getting it from the back. The bar staff was more focused on eating their own dinner than making our drinks. The hotel has room service that closes very early and it is not located somewhere easily accessible to food.

A good hotel in a convenient location. I had a room facing the front on a lower floor which meant the considerable noise from the street was audible late into the night. It’s noisy New York City so I should have thought this through a bit better!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel and rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. The provided water bottles in the hallways were convenient and the terrace was very nice and well maintained. It’s a great location in terms of being able to easily walk up and down 5th Avenue, and only a couple blocks from Times Square and the subway. Bryant park is beautiful and we spent time there to enjoy its offerings. There were a couple of nice cafes and restaurants just at the base of the hotel and we found great restaurants close by in walking distance. There’s a Whole Foods close by where we picked up snacks for the room for the weekend. For the price, I don’t feel the amenities are there and it would have been nice to have room basics such as hair dryer, iron, and mini fridge, but being NYC was not surprised and still had a very comfortable stay.
