The hotel staff were nice and the room was spacious. The location is very close to the subway, so that was nice. The negative is that the room was dated with no screen on the window and the "facility fee" was a rip off since there were no real facilities to use. If I hadn't had to pay the facility fee, I would have been much happier.

This is our third stay in the San Carlos, its a wonderful hotel, we asked to switch rooms because they one we had reserved ended up feeling too small. They changed us to a bigger room for a special price. And ended up not charging us for a rollaway bed. I will always stay here if I can. The only negative, is that while extremely well kept, it is due for a renovation. It feels a little bit tired. Also, they used to offer continental breakfast included in the room price, not anymore.

This hotel was great, considering it is in the heart of Manhattan. We could walk to everything. The water pressure was not great and could use some updating but still a great hotel. We got a really good price on it too through a package.

I read incredible review after another, and it was all true. WOW! Check in was wonderful. It was a rainy week and they provided umbrellas. The luggage storage was prompt and safe. The rooms were huge for any city standard, but particularly for NYC. It was sparkling clean and the linens and towels were fresh and new. The location is ideal for reaching all points in the city. Aveda bath amenities. Good food options at the hotel and within a couple of blocks. The friendliest, happiest, nicest staff in every department. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It did not disappoint, was absolutely better than any expectation and made me want to come back to NYC much sooner. I told the check out attendant I hated to leave the great review because I am afraid everyone will discover this hidden jewel and it will be fully booked for my next trip!

The hotel is in a great location in Midtown Manhattan. a 10-15 minute walk to theaters, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, shopping, transportation, restaurants and more. It’s just iff the beaten path enough to be in a neighborhood atmosphere, with plenty of options for food, coffee and drinks nearby. The room was large, clean and with plenty of amenities and the hotel staff was friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The location is great, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here if you need a room in midtown manhattan.

We drive 15 hour car and w came here at 10:00 a.m. and chking time is 3:00 p.m. i and my children 6 hour wait for room. And not clean room. Under chair i find old socks pair. This is terrible
