About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Large late1800's home within walking distance to Opera House and downtown.

Ryan and I are certain you will love Newberry's friendly "small town" atmosphere. Our home was built in the late 1800's. It provides visitors with an eclectic blend of "old house" charm and modern updates within walking distance to the Newberry Opera House and wonderful downtown restaurants. The house features almost 4000 square feet of high ceilings, heavy pocket doors for privacy, three fireplaces, four bedrooms with three queen and two twin beds, 3.5 baths...and a wonderful front porch.

Be sure to examine the reproduction of the photograph unearthed on the property during renovations. There is something quite odd about it!!! Can you determine what it is? Take a mini tour of the house on our Ramblin Man YouTube channel at

Lots of elbow room
Large late 1800's or early 1900's house with high ceilings, large rooms and some pocket doors. We were in town for a show at the Newberry Opera House and this property was close by. This was our second time renting this house.

Beautiful home
The home was beautifully decorated. We had a fantastic stay. The only advice we could give is the upstairs bedroom needs AC. If you leave all the doors open, you can stay cool but if you want privacy that room got pretty hot.

Newberry Homecoming
We stayed at this beautiful home in August. The home was amazingly beautiful and so well decorated. We enjoyed talking about the things this home built in the 1800’s would have seen. If the walls could talk I can imagine the stories they would tell. In the evening we sat on the porch and watched fireflies dance through the yard. It was nice to sit and appreciate some of the little things in life. Thank you for the comfortable stay and amazing experience. We love Newberry and will definitely return to this home. The host was also wonderful and so helpful and excellent with communication.

Family Weekend Trip
We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! The host always responded quickly with any questions. The home had more than enough room for us to relax, as well as gather together for family time. Everything in the house was decorated beautifully with care. The neighborhood was quiet and close to both downtown and Wilson Road area shopping/eating areas. This was such a fantastic blessing for us!

Southern Charmer
The property is one of a kind with a lot of personal decor & touches. The beds were great for the six adults and plenty of space for us to be together yet have our own space. The front porch was our favorite spot.

Great location!
Just a block off Main Street and a short walk to the opera house, dining and shopping. Couldn’t be more conveniently located. Three sisters spent two nights and enjoyed every moment. Well-appointed, clean, plenty of linens. We didn’t cook. The decor in the grand old house is eclectic, great for adults but would definitely not be toddler friendly. Good many stairs - back entry is up about a dozen steps, fewer at the front. There is one bedroom on the main level. The comfy “den” is upstairs, but there are two parlors downstairs. Would stay again!

Absolutely awesome house!!
We came here to attend the local Octoberfest, but the house was better than the festival! And the festival was great. Everything about the house is interesting, from the decor to the accents, just beautiful. It’s like entering a long lost century. If you come to the area and don’t stay here, you made a bad choice.
