Stopped here during our recent trip to Newcastle for the rugby, perfect for what we needed, 10 minute walk from the Metro station.
The host was brilliant, smashing fella who was very friendly from the minute we walked through the door to the minute we left, very helpful in assisting us with travel/getting to places etc.
Very accomodating and helpful too after a mix up with bookings, moved us to another room which actually helped us in the end.
Actually asked us what time we wanted Breakfast rather than giving us a set time and as we had been at the rugby all day on the Saturday we chose a later breakfast so we could have a lie in, this was no problem and once again cannot fault the service we recieved, breakfast was lovely if the dining room was a little on the small side but as we were the last ones in it wasn't an issue.
The room we had was at the top and was a couple of flights of stairs down to the shared toilet and shower, not the best situation but again wasn't a problem to our party, all had a decent nights sleep so again no complaints.
Parts of the building could do with a bit of a clean/some TLC but for the price we paid we got excellent customer service, a good breakfast and a decent sleep so they pale into insignificance.
All in all a pleasant stay and will definitely stop here again given chance.
