Very clean room 2 rooms no closet in 1 room closet in smaller room no bureas to put clothes in in large room. Middle room was big small table but only 2 chairs. Only 2 cups for coffee maker Room should have been for 4 people but only set up for 2 people we were brought extra towels for 4 of us.

I was really hoping to love the Wayfinder. The pics of the property online look lovely, and where the hotel is finished and ready, it is. The lobby and pool are really nice. The room: the AC in our room was not hooked up to the wall control. The very nice maintenance person came and worked on the unit itself, taking out filters and taking off the screens to try to have it pump as much air as possible. The shower in the bathroom leaked water all over the bathroom floor each time you showered, and made the bathroom very slippery. There was a wall mounted fixture next to one of the queen beds to hang clothes on, and my friend banged into it each time she was trying to get into that side of the bed. The mini fridge in the room is really just a drink cooler and did not keep anything cold that we put in it. We asked if a larger mini fridge could be added to our room, it never came, we abandoned the idea. The hotel needs to work out the kinks, and at $500 a night, it was way to much for what it was…

The property seemed nice, and the staff was very polite and professional. But beyond that the first night before we even arrived as we were pulling in we turned into what looked like it might be the front, only to be met with jersey barriers that were very hard to see due to the low light situation, and we had to back out onto a busy road to get to the other side where the actual entrance was. Then after arriving to the room once checked in, the air conditioner was not working, and we had to call someone up to the room to fix it. At the same time, someone staying in one of the nearby rooms had a very loud dog that was barking non-stop. We got in on the later side and went to bed shortly after arrival. When I woke up the next day, the warm water was not working and myself and my friend had to take a cold shower. We then went out for the day and when we got back we noticed that the sheets on the dorm like bed we had slept in the previous night were stained and needed to be replaced. Again, the staff was very accommodating. The lobby had a great atmosphere, however one of the main attractions being the beautiful yellow fireplace was not functioning and detracted from the overall ambiance of the hotel. The hotel has so much potential to be amazing, but for the price that was paid to stay was largely disappointing and even at times flat out unsanitary. So thankful for the staff and their true understanding of our experience.

Run down hotel (motel) with a coat of pant —
Hotel was not impressive. You could tell the hotel tried to be “art deco” with a coat of pant, but balconies have view of parking lot, front desk check in agents didn't explain were anything was until I asked about amenities. Hotel layout was confusing, doors on lock didn't lock properly, there was no hot water in the entire hotel .. for our entire 4 day stay with no real reason for the problem, our room was not cleaned by housekeeping— just asked if we needed anything- even when asked for housekeeping. The only bright spot was a manager who found me on the elevator and saw I needed help finding ice and the front desk gentleman at checkout who refunded us 1 night stay. It was completely unacceptable at the peak season and hotel is really a decorated motel— buyer beware!!! Cost is way too steep for the stay.

This hotel could be okay but it's not ready yet. They are reopening after a renovation due to fire damage but I think they're probably too eager to make money and are opening rooms in wings that are still being heavily worked on at all hours of the day. There was a guy drilling holes in the wall right outside my room at 10pm who I had to ask to stop. There is construction dust all over the place and the room I stayed in still had not been deep cleaned after it was completed... tape glue still visible on floors, protective tape not removed from stainless steel in bathroom, etc. Also, it's not walkable to downtown and with no shuttle it's a minimum of $15 uber ride to and a $20 Uber ride from downtown Newport. The staff is nice and make an effort but are very inexperienced. Our broken refrigerator was never fixed after asking 3 times so I was left to keep my son's medication cold by constantly filling up our cooler with ice. The outdoor pool feels like a cheesy motel pool from the 1980s with the strange decorative paint on the wall and the exposed mechanical equipment. The restaurant opened while we were there, but that too wasn't ready. The three workers that crowded around the register trying to figure it out obviously hadn't been trained and a simple order for a diet coke sent one of them running to the bar by the pool. All that said, we were able to book a room there for only $300/night just 2 days before we needed to be there on a busy weekend in July.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I called in the morning to ensure early check in. The lady I spoke to said that she would make sure our room was ready & make sure “there were no stains.” We thought that was an odd response, but didn’t think anything of it. Upon arrival to our room, there were dog hairs on the bed, brown stains on the lamp, carpet stains, red stains on a material bench, & a used glass cup in the bathroom. We called & they had 2 men come look who agreed. They offered us another room, which was even worse. There was food on the floor, long hairs on the sheets, & makeup on the pillow. Worst of all there was a dried, crusted white stain on the blanket to which the lady responded, “it’s probably drool.” Eventually they moved our room to the “newer” side of the hotel. We were then placed in a room with 1 king bed rather than 2 queen beds. In the middle of the night, my card was charged over $1000. I asked the front desk the next morning what that was for & the same lady said someone probably pressed the wrong button when checking us in. We reminded her that she checked us in & she denied, which was very odd.

Not as advertised. Stains on the carpets, lamp, walls. Bathroom was not clean upon arrival. Good staff.

I found blood stain in one pillow case ,two other pillow case were dirty . The night stand had what seemed like dried sperm in it with hair ( looked like the room wasn’t clean for a month ) the carpet was dirt and wet . The whole place smell really bad . This is not a nice hotel ( they are remodeling one of their wings . It will look nice but as of now don’t stay there
