Part of an ancient village
The village identity persists with a community of French and expats who are friendly and welcoming. The house is part of very old architecture with narrow streets and incredibly beautiful small spaces here and there. As other reviewers have noted, the narrow 3+ level building has a lot of stairs, and you must be able to climb what amounts to a ladder to get to a low ceilinged loft sleeping area. The kitchen has a two burner stove but is adequate for cooking meals which we did extensively while we were there. I had a great time at Le Perchoir. Both the owner and the property manager were extremely helpful and the area has many options for things to do, especially, for me, the Fondacion Meight.
