The Golden Gables Inn is an older "motel type" hotel located on the White Mountain Highway just south of North Conway, NH. Parking was a non-issue. Our room had been somewhat updated and was clean and comfortable. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is about a five minute drive into North Conway, and about 15 minutes into Conway, and access to the Kancamagus Highway. For our visit, the purpose of which was "leaf peeping", it was perfect.

We were happy with our stay here. Great staff make all the difference. The staffing here was great. She was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The room was clean, but the bathroom fan was not. It was filled with dust. I didn't like that the bathroom light was not separate from the fan. Otherwise everything was great.

This was an older, tired property. Was disappointed that the door locks were actual keys. The handle was so loose, I felt that I could snap it off. The room was not very soundproof as all night long you could hear road noise. There was no coffee machine in the room and while the lobby had coffee, it was locked until 8am. For that much money, I expect at least a continental breakfast.
