Family Reunion
I rented the house so my sisters and brother had a place to stay while in town. I also stayed there. We were all impressed with the beautiful Victorian house. It was clean and comfortable. We all wished there was some information on the history of this beautiful home. We would stay again.

Girls getaway (grandma, aunts, sisters, cousins) 5 of us.
This was an amazing house, full of history, huge, and met all of our needs. We wish there was a written history of the place. On the downside, it was in serious need of thorough cleaning...inside and out. The grounds could have been enjoyed if the grass was cut. For some reason there had been no housekeeping when we arrived but the property manager and her host of friends came to the rescue as soon as they were made aware. They were wonderful and fun to talk to. It was only basic cleaning but that was understandable. Clearly it has needed a cleaning service for quite some time, but we are flexible and it added to the whole experience. We really loved the house despite these things. It has so much potential. We spent hours conjuring up stories of it's history! Area highlights: the quilt shop, the McPhearson (?) cemetery, and the 2 local wineries. It was a memorable trip for us all and a perfect location between Omaha & Denver.

Poor housekeeping but good communication with owners
Property had a lot of cobwebs and toilet seats were loose, broken shade in front room, upstairs drain was clogged but my sister used a screwdriver to pull the plug, the housekeeping was very poor. Communication with owner was quick and helpful, they did offer to call a plumber but it was easily taken care of. We have one of your pillow cases by mistake, would you like us to mail it to you? Thank you for the extra fans in the bedrooms.

The owner cancelled on our way into the property due to AC unit failure. We had to find a hotel last minute. We understand this is not anyone's fault, necessarily, but it was jarring to be notified that we had no place to stay a couple hours before our arrival.

Amazing Historic House
The description and photo’s didn’t do this property justice. Walking in felt like walking into an historic mansion. The downstairs rooms were large and comfortable. The main bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable though quite high off the floor. The other rooms were smaller but I heard no complaints from the kids (ages 15 to 20). I was concerned about it being near the tracks but I could not hear the trains unless I stepped outside. Even then they were not loud. It was an easy walk to the historic downtown Canteen District with all it’s shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Be aware that there is no closet space for hanging formal clothing (we were there for a funeral). We loved the butler’s pantry with its coffee bar and the very pleasant yard. We are very likely to stay here again.

We loved our stay. There was so much room for our family to relax in the middle of our road trip. We had a great time at Cody Park, a wonderful dinner at Good Life on the Bricks, and dessert at Double Dips. Highly recommend staying here.

Super cool old house
Loved staying at this historic house while in town to see Prairie Chickens and Sandhill Cranes. House itself was really fun with lots of character and history. Located within walking distance from downtown restaurants and shops. We had a great weekend!

Victorian home with incredible charm
If you are a fan of quality old homes and furniture, you will love this place! There are so many unique rooms and spaces. Although a dining room chair needed some repair, and a soap dish could be added to the shower, we have no complaints, and would happily stay again if we were in the area!
