Wonderful time had and a big thank you. The bungalow suited us and our needs as a family. We found it comfortable and homely. A quiet retreat a short distance from Northallerton, and in our view, very central to accessing the Dales and places of interest. The bungalow being situated on the farm makes it tick the boxes as a tranquil environment. Mary was a wonderful host and provided some good suggestions regarding trips and excursions. Without being verbose - highly recommended.

Cosy cottage
The cottage is very cosy and warm with everything you need. Beds are comfortable. All very retro in style but spotlessly clean. Expansive views from the property and easy to reach Richmond or the North York moors. We enjoyed some (muddy) walks around the farm. Mary is very helpful and keen to make sure everything is ok. Somewhere to put muddy boots would be a good addition.

Excellent Stay!!!
Stanhow bungalow is in a beautiful spot with lovely views and an abundance of peace and quiet. Mary gave us a very warm welcome and comprehensive guide to the cottage which although somewhat old fashioned (that is part of its charm) is very well equipped and is a great base for exploring this wonderful part of the country. We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and hope to return in the near future.

A very nice bungalow with a lovely big garden, the property is quite old but had everything we needed and everything worked, comfy beds and spacious rooms. The only thing i would recommend would be new sofas, they seemed comfy at first but soon became flat with the cushions etc. A very enjoyable stay in a peaceful area but note no shop or pub within walking distance so take all your supplies with you as we did and it is not an issue.

Blissfully peaceful
Spent a long bank holiday weekend at the bungalow. It was lovely, a real getaway from it all. The bungalow is warm and comfortable, with the addition of a welcome pack for when we arrived. The kitchen is a little dated, but completely clean and functional, including a washing machine. The garden which surrounds the bungalow is lovely, with bbq and furniture, making it a perfect family retreat, with beautiful sunsets and not a soul around to disturb us.

The property is located in a quiet rural area with good walks for our dog. We unfortunately had to miss a day because of poor weather which we discussed with the owner. We found the property as described which was acceptable to us, but as a comment for a possible area for improvement which you request the property may not appeal to much younger people who may expect a more modern internal look, though we note that modern facilities such as micro wave and WiFi are available.
