The Nossentiner Schwinzer Heide is right outside the door and invites you to go hiking and cycling. The Drewitzer lake (3 km away) with clear water invites you to swim. The island town of Malchow is 7 km away. In the island city there are several shops, museums (organ museum, GDR museum, Kiek in un wunner di, exhibition of regional artists) and restaurants.
