Updated Oceanfront Beach House

The "Pink Pelican" was completely renovated in June 2020. We recently replaced living room furniture as well to seat more people. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is perfect for your family getaway. Downstairs consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen + a full size crib, and a spacious bathroom. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen and 1 Twin and a spacious bathroom. All mattresses are Tuft & Needle and have mattress protectors on them. All 4 bedrooms have smart TVs, as well as the living room. You will be able to stream from your favorite serivces on all tvs. All TVs also have the Sling App for basic cable use.

The kitchen is equipped with all of the things you will need.

Enjoy sitting on the new deck with your coffee or cocktail and listen to the peaceful ocean waves. For those with little ones, we installed a locking gate at the top of the deck.

We do not provide linens; guest will have to bring their own sheets and towels. Linens can also be rented from Sharon's Linens. If you wish to rent linens, please let me know when booking as we set it up through our cleaners for a seamless process. Additionally, they offer beach gear and additional baby gear if needed.

We have a high chair, booster seat, full size crib, and baby gate for families staying with small children.

Publix and Food Lion are located on the island and less than 5 minutes from our house.

We have a list in the beach house of our favorite places to order take out or go eat at!

Absolutely no pets or smoking.

Renters must be 25 years of age.

Summer rentals are done weekly Saturday-Saturday. Summer season is considered Mid June to Mid August.
Off season is available with a 2 night minimum stay.

Our group of four couples has rented several beach houses over the years, and I have to say, being on the beach is so worth it. And this one wasn’t outrageously priced. Being able to walk in the back door for lunch or get something we forgot was really convenient. The house is also perfect for couples or a larger family. Well stocked kitchen. Clean. Just be sure you notice that you have to bring your own sheets and towels.

Family Vacation at Pink Pelican
The accommodations were as described. The house was clean. Everything you could possibly need as far as amenities were available. Communication with the owner was as simple as a message and the response was immediate. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pink Pelican with ocean views and easy beach access.

Some friends and I stayed here for a fishing trip. The house is very nice, and everything g worked as expected. There was easy beach access and all other amenities. Owner Mellissa was very nice and responsive through Vrbo app. 10/10 would recommend.

Spectacular Week
Our stay at the "Pink Pelican" was terrific. The house is in a great location, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities close by. There is a Publix and a Food Lion within a couple of miles, seafood, barbecue takeout, coffee shops, donuts, ice cream- and we won Trivia at one of the bars. The house was very clean and bright, and really well appointed. Appliances are high quality and worked well (ICE MAKER in freezer!). The kitchen has all the pots, pans, dishes and gadgets you can possibly use. The dishwasher does a great job, so we didn't have to spend vacation time washing all the dishes. Beds are all really comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are in good repair. The living room has comfy couch & chairs. The dining table seats 8- and although we didn't need it, there's a high chair The front deck has rockers and chairs for morning coffee drinking , dolphin-watching, and afternoon drinks. There is a hose at the top of the stairs for rinsing off the sand after beach walks. And beach walking is the best. Sunrise & sunset can both be seen from the beach which is literally steps from the house. We easily walked a couple of miles each day. Communication with the owner was easy and comprehensive through the VRBO app/associated emails. They contacted us and replied quickly to our inquiries and comments. There is also a notebook with pertinent info in the kitchen area. I really hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again. You'll be so happy here.

Fun girls weekend
We had such a fun girls weekend in Oak Island. The Pink Pelican was a fantastic place to stay. The house was adorable and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Close to so many things to do. I will keep it on my list of places to stay.

This home exceeded our expectations. It looked just like the photos & comfortably accommodated 9 of us. The ocean view was amazing & beach access was right next to the property. Absolutely wonderful stay. This is a perfect house for families, and the location could not have been better. Great communication from the host. LOVED the bedroom arrangements, giving us several options for kids/no kids/teen. Spacious and inviting common space. Another Amazing Stay at The Pink Pelican
We have stayed here before and as always the house is perfect for a relaxing getaway and the location cannot be beat. The house is cozy, comfortable, well laid out, and the kitchen is well appointed. You cannot beat the location! Sitting on the back deck relaxing is one of our favorite things to do. We will be back!

Great Beach Week
Our family of 4 adults and 2 children enjoyed our visit at Pink Pelican. Kitchen was well stocked, comfortable beds, and great oceanfront location. Kids got to see a fox on the dunes, a large pod of porpoises/dolphins, pelicans feeding, beautiful sunrises and sunsets all just steps away from the house. An unexpected local festival in a nearby park afforded them a visit with Santa and Mrs Claus, pirates and local police, fire and military personnel and bouncy houses which totally blew them away! Perfect weather, only disappointment was the turtle hatchlings were over for the season.

Wonderful family getaway
We love Oak Island, and The Pink Pelican was perfect for us ( 6 adults and 3 young kids). Plenty of room. We loved being right on the beach, and the back deck with rocking chairs was ideal for the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Definitely recommend, and would love to come back again!

Best Beach House!
This might be the best beach house we have ever stayed in, it’s definitely going to be our new go to for visits to the island. As for the location, I could not have asked for anything better. Easy access to the beach since you are directly next to public parking and have your own path to that entrance from the back deck. What more do you need. The house itself was perfect as well, plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 small children. Kitchen was very nice and updated as listed, bathrooms ACTUALLY HAVE SHOWER HEADS THAT ARE BUILT FOR TALL PEOPLE. If you’re taller than 5’10” you know my pain when booking trips to anywhere at the beach, why they put them so low I’ll never know. There are some areas that could use some TLC but you’re staying at a beach house that is ocean front and has survived a few hurricanes….. it’s fine you’ll get over it. Overall experience here was a 10/10. The views were perfect day and night. We made friends with a friendly crow and named him Jeffery. If you see him give him popcorn and potato chips, he will gently take them right out of your hand. He will also stare at you with his mouth open when he wants water. It’s silly but trust me it was apart of the experience that made our kids trip even better. Melissa and Family are great hosts and like I said before we will definitely be booking with them again for next years trips
