It is hidden in Downtown Oakland. The room was very nice and I was able to rest and relax.

Ac wasn't working. Staff didn't care.
As soon as I got to the reception desk, I was informed that I was lucky I got there when i did. They over booked 20 rooms! That was my greeting. The person at the feont desk also failed to mention there was feee breakfast. Luckily, I'm an early riser. When I walked into my room I noticed it was veey warm inside. I soon discovered that my ac wasnt working. I immediately went downstairs to complain. I was told a technician wouldn't be able to come out so late. Also, I couldnt be given another room since they were sold out. They told me that in order to get a refund, I'd need to check out of the hotel. By this time it's after midnight. I didnt want to risk not beong able to find another hotel. In the past when I had issues with other hotels, they would immediately find me accommodations elsewhere. This was not the case with Hilton by Hampton. I would not spend my money with them again.

Don’t overbook.
Went to check into my room and was told that no more king sized beds with a city view were available because they overbooked. Was a given a room with two beds with a family above me that made noise late into my first night as well as early into the next morning. Huge inconvenience to me and my stay. No manager was available all weekend nor did one attempt to contact me after leaving my complaint.
