Reasonable option close to downtown
I arrived in the evening, and was glad to be welcomed inside - it didn't feel safe on my own just walking 3 minutes to the hotel from BART. The room was basic, but the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom smelt of bleach, so at least I guess it was clean! Breakfast was OK, water cooler in lobby was a nice touch.

I told the front desk multiple time to have someone clean my room only to come back hours later to a dirty room. For a two week stay my room was only cleaned three times even though I ask the front desk (multiple times) and even called (multiple times) while away; again just to return to a dirty room. Not to mention, I was confronted about the smoke alarm was covered in plastic but no one took the plastic down.

This is the 2nd time weā€™ve stayed here. The room, hotel and staff are very nice. The self parking is on site which is great for $10/night. We bring our dog and she stays for cheap. There are lots of Dino g options and itā€™s walking distance from the Fox Theater for concerts.

One of the worst neighborhoods. Dirty streets with nasty homeless and drug addicted animals around. Irresponsible hotel staff. Strongly not recommend unless you are willing to risk everything for nothing.

Downtown Oakland is a very dynamic placeā€”which is why I love it so much. The Ramada feels like a home away from home, a safe and quiet nook in which to live when I'm visiting.

Very centrally located with easy access to the subway, and within easy walking distance of a lot of local attractions. Staff were professional and the room was cleaned daily. Room was very small, but as a single traveler it was perfectly suitable for my needs. Elevator was a bit outdated. Overall this is a good option for a cheap hotel and I would recommend it overall.

Stay here if you don't care about your car getting stolen! My car was stolen on the first night. No security. No cameras. They do not even bother to lock the gate at night. The rooms are humid and the bed sheets have a weird odor. Stay off the coffee given in your room because the coffeemaker has dirt.
