DRY WALL NOT FINISHED BROKEN LAMP SHADE
My stay was terrible. I came to visit my daughter, who is a Senior at Berkeley, to cheer her on at her game. The clerk would not reassign my room until I threaten to contact Hotels.com. The room had unfinished drywall. He then exchanged my room to a room that had a lampshade that kept falling off the wall. The noise from University Drive was overwhelming. No double-paned windows. The bathroom fan would not shut off unless you kept the bathroom door closed for at least 5 minutes but as soon as you opened the bathroom door, the loud fan would come on again. I would never stay at this unkept hotel.

The price was reasonable for the location and the room is fine. We paid extra, in advance, for the breakfast, which seemed to be available to everyone. The choices were two sweet cereals, some packaged bread. The coffee maker wasn't working. Don't pay extra for breakfast.

The inside definitely better than the outside of the property. There were unseemly characters staying there. That's not in a businesses control per say. Money talks, I get it! The real gripe is with staff and personal. I made a reservation that I in fact checked in for. Because I wasn't paying a switch was made. Even though I was physically there and they were aware of the switch even suggested it. I'm out of money I didn't have. I called multiple times. I asked to speak to the only person that can authorize a refund. The manager has been avoiding me like the plague. Do not stay here if you desire to have matters dealt with professional courtesy. I deserve a conversation at the very least. Disrespectful, blatantly rude and horribly evil to do people this way. My account is overdrafted with fees attached because of a mistake I didn't make. No one cares to correct it. I am low income and homeless. I couldn't afford the room myself. I have health issues, just got out of surgery 2 weeks ago. I was trying to get some peace and solace away from the shelter. Now my peace has been disrupted making my healing process more difficult and time consuming.
